Looks like fire is definitely around Windy Lake, glad I fished it last week.
I hope you weren't fishing Windy Lake last week. See for more info: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/fw/fish/regula ... egion3.pdf
It looks as though the fire is working its way down hill into the Windy and Mellin F.S.R. areas.
It's all big clearcuts with lots of access down those roads, so that should help the firefighters keep it from impacting the fishing lodges and cabins. It is too bad they don't allow broadcast burning of cutblocks any longer as that would slow these fires down considerably if they did.

Heard on scanner - cat fire guard is almost complete on west flank of fire, about 1 km to go, they will start back burning along fire guard tonight. NE flank and SE has very active flames, large smoke columns.

Looks like that thunderstorm moved right over it. Probably soaked it good.

Wondering if that's a different one from what I'm seeing.

Castanet has posted up to 70 and it certainly has been gusting the last while.
