It is ... except, the fire you circled is Placer Mtn 2018. On your map Cool Creek is the little one to the north east. Of course that's all changed and now Cool Creek is burning in the same area that burned last year - and earlier this year.

And introducing the Skwekust Creek fire, just 3 km west of the road going up to the lodge. It's the second day in a row it's being detected by VIIRS.

It looks like Snowy Mountain is spreading toward Chupacabra.

P.S. Off topic, but the south of Chilko Lake, the Bishop River fire is melting the glaciers!

Some people pronounce it Chopaka, but I pronounce it Chupacabra. You say tomato, I say tomaaaato.

I'm finding it interesting how last years Diamond Creek fire, out of the USA, is currently burning at both ends. Both in BC, with the Placer Mtn and Cool Creek fires and in the Washington State with the Mcleod fire.

Here's a sat shot from yesterday morning with a false colour to take a peak under the smoke...

Have you been working up there LTD? I have been for a couple weeks.
The rain and cool temps sure has helped calm things down.

Yesterday was my last day there. I'm won't miss that place that's for sure. 16 hours a day including the drive time. The road up there felt like torture everyday.
