Exactly. If they had a legitimate excuse for their behavior, they would have used it. When you fired because you're gay, and instead of saying that it's wrong to fire people because they're gay, your defense is "but you shouldn't had a hidden camera set up in your office," you're basically admitting that it's okay to fire people for being gay.

And I say big deal that they had sex. They obviously thought there were alone. They're two consenting adults. To get fired over one of the most natural human behaviors is stupid and for everybody to make them out as the worst criminals with no shame is quite judgy. Grow up. If your story about the Kelowna drinking trip is true, That was a criminal offence. This is not. It may be in poor taste to choose your boss' desk for sex but, in the heat of the moment, well!
As for the union getting involved, someone has to fight for them in the face of city hall and they pay for that union like you pay for a lawyer. Professional lawyers also engage in sex. I think
