Nice day for a wheel
First day out in my new wheelchair completely unescorted. After being tethered to a hospital wall with meds for what seems like forever, I gained a furlough... 2 whole hrs away from the really amazing ppl at KGH. But I digress.
Ran some errands, made a side trip to see my kitty cat staying w my bestie while I get better, but now I am quite exhausted.
Slowly I am making my way back to my pick up point I said I would be waiting at ... and out of the blue, a quiet polite young man asks me if I would like a push to my destination. Which happens to be a few blocks from where he is going.
We talked about he having just graduated from KSS and is going to U of Toronto next week.
Justin you did a nice thing today and I hope your family knows how really SHINY and great you are!!!
I wish you the best and hope your day got a little brighter too with the halo u clearly wear...

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

School kids shovel for people with mobility issues instead of gym class

Kids love their parents, but I think everyone has a special bond with their Dads. They are the strongest people in the world and always know what to do. So it’s evident that children want to be exactly like their fathers when they grow up even if it means riding a bull!
Jace Kellog is a ten-year-old cowboy who wants to be a professional bull rider when he grows up. But he has a special reason for this. He can’t hold back tears as he expresses that his father, who passed away from cancer, was a bull-rider. The little boy also wrote about his passion for a school report. However, it wasn’t any ordinary report.
After the FOX5 Surprise Squad read his emotional report, they wanted to do something special for Jace and his brother. So, they went to their home with a stampede of a surprise. A huge truck pulls in the boy’s driveway. Form there, prize bulls come out, all of which Jace immediately recognizes. But the real star surprise pulls up in another car, and when Jace sees his icon in real life, his jaws drop. It is indeed a sweet surprise for an incredibly brave boy.

Texas Restaurant Opens Early to Serve 3-Year-Old Girl with Leukemia Her Favorite Meal.
https://people.com/human-interest/texas ... -leukemia/
When Adelaide Stanley turned 3 on July 1, 2019, she was diagnosed with leukemia, a rare cancer that starts in the bone marrow and affects blood cells, platelets and white blood cells, according to the American Cancer Society.
But during a recent trip in her father’s car, Adelaide spotted her favorite restaurant — J. Wilson’s in Beaumont — and asked if they could all get food. Stanley had to remind Adelaide that they would have to wait until she is better.
Nguyen later told a friend about the heartbreaking moment, and, in turn, the friend reached out to the restaurant’s owner, John Wilson, to see if he’d accommodate a special request: opening up early so Adelaide and the family could enjoy a meal by themselves.
“They used to come to brunch here all the time before she was diagnosed with leukemia,” Wilson told GMA. “They had been in confinement pretty much since July.”
The restaurant’s staff went to work, deep cleaning the establishment and decorating it in pink — Adelaide’s favorite color.
Then, on Jan. 26, J. Wilson’s opened an hour and 15 minutes early so Adelaide could have her favorite — scrambled eggs, bacon and homemade biscuits.
“Seeing her smile, just knowing we could give her a little sense of normalcy was great,”
