More Con cheating

Mercer's original did NOT say "Vote Conservative". It just said "Vote". But that didn't stop some Conservative supporter from doing the wrong thing and putting fake words into the mouth of Mercer. Leave this kind of Trumpism south of the border.

Hopefully this will backfire for her, but regardless now her name is out there.
Scheer should speak to this and condemn it.
I remember seeing Mercer's rant about voting and thought what a powerful message he was sending and from someone who hopefully young people would listen to.
For a candidate to turn this around and use it for their own purposes is disgusting.

That's all they got is to attack the Libs because they don't have much of a party platform but to lie on top of that smells of desparation. Here's more of their lying....

I truly don't get why anyone would bother making anything up about the Trudeau Liberals. The truth about them is bad enough.
For all practical intents and purposes, the RCMP have been investigating. Call it what you will. It's interesting the people are exercised over the words being used by Conservatives and others to describe the RCMP looking into whether or not our government was involved in criminal activity are the same people who give our government a free pass for preventing the ethics commissioner from looking into whether or not our government was involved in wrongdoing.
The Mercer business was clumsy and stupid, and I'll bet it isn't the last we'll see of that sort of nonsense. The tax document might be more of same. But then, if the document suggesting the capital gains tax on Canadian homes was not a policy proposal, as Vaughan claims, all he has to do is show the actual document to prove it's been doctored. Which begs the question, why hasn't he done that?
Maybe tomorrow. We shall see.

This is huge, an obvious effort to seriously influence votes in an upcoming election,(and a violation of canadian law) and now look at that, "Nothing to see here folks". It doesn't count when the Conservatives mislead voters, AND misrepresent what a Police Commissioner did not say about any ongoing investigation into PMO. The PM had to take his lumps with the Ethics Commission. But it's okay for the Cons to con the public in an election. If the Liberals had done that you can bet Scheer would have been all over it like white on rice, calling for the RCMP to drag Justin away to jail.
THe Ethics commission's findings were not "a free pass", it was a very serious matter, and if it wasn't then Cons. supporters wouldn't keep harping on it in every post. Oh they've got him by the short hair now.
What's glaring is the "free pass" that is now being handed the Cons for publishing false news to influence an election.
Call it what it is, and then let's move on.

Trudeau is banging out lie after lie after lie.
That should make a solid truth-seeker like yourself disavow any support for that damned prevaricator.

It has always been a mystery to me why the CON supporters would deviate from attacking Trudeau on the substantive issues and continue to distract us with fake news and trivial nonsense. Are these folk secretly hoping Trudeau will win again?

Is there a reason you are not holding the Liberals to the same standard, for the exact same behavior? Oh right, partisan blinders, got it.

That comes from both sides, as usual.
What's particularly interesting to me in this election is who is going to great lengths to downplay the serious wrongdoing of their party's dear leader, by kicking up a great fuss about any misstep by others and, even sillier, about nonsense posted by people who are not even running for office. That, of course, is fodder for several other threads.

Re: More Con cheating
Andrew Scheer claimed that he was an "insurance broker" before becoming a politician. Turns out he was a clerk on the cash register selling license plates. And the Cons have the nerve to label Trudeau as "just a drama teacher". The Cons had Harper, a mail room clerk, as leader. And now Scheer, a license plate clerk.
