Figured I'd start a thread just for posts about federal polls and polling numbers since the posts on the subject are all scattered throughout the other threads.

I've mostly been using the CBC site, it seems to be the best but if there's any other good ones out there let me know.

Calculated Politics is a poll aggregator, used to be updated every Thursday but I see it's been updated this morning (Saturday).

Scheer bounces up, Trudeau slides down in voter support

In a poll conducted by DART this past Friday, the Conservatives were up to 37% nationally while the Liberals were down to 30% support.

The NDP currently sits at 15%, the Greens at 8%, the People’s Party at 8% and the Bloc Quebecois has actually moved up a bit in Quebec to 26%.

“The Conservatives are now leading in Ontario and that is the gateway to either a minority or majority government,” said pollster John Wright.

There was a big swing noted in Ontario as the Conservatives moved up three points to 37% support while the Liberals dropped six points to 34%. The NDP also moved up two points to 18% support in Ontario.

Wow, even in the partisan Bible belt of conservative Kelowna. It would seem apparent this would
be more about not believing in Scheer than believing in Trudeau. What were the Cons thinking?

There were some chuckles going on on Facebook last week by some young Liberals who were using a Pollbot program to flood news outlet polls.

Since the same poll on Castanet was about 80/20 in favour of Tracy Gray just a few weeks ago, it's likely they decided to "fix" this one.

I thought this poll was free for anyone to use , though based in the Okanagan I imagine much of BC gets in on that.
So while you feel comfortable in your riding that poll wasn't specific.

Conservatives have big lead in BC, polls show, as majority deem Trudeau blackface scandal 'serious'


The Conservative Party is ahead in British Columbia, according to new polls, as a majority of voters in the province deem the Justin Trudeau face-painting scandal to be “serious”.

In two polls, Andrew Scheer’s party has support from 29% of the BC population.

The Liberals have between 17% and 19%, the NDP 14% and the Greens between 13% and 14%.

“The federal election in BC is shaping up rather poorly for the reigning Liberal government,” said Steve Mossop, president of Insights West.

“Government handling of transparency, deficits, housing affordability, pipelines, and poverty and homelessness have hurt the current Liberal government and the handling of the recent face painting scandal means the Liberals have a rough ride ahead in this election campaign.

"Voter preferences are always known to change over the course of a campaign, but at this point things are not looking good for the Liberals in BC.”

honest question...what is the benefit of boosting a poll? if it shows a liberal win, wouldn't it just coax conservatives to make sure they get out and vote in force, or make liberal voters think, oh they will win then I don't have to go vote? Or that I can vote for a different party because it shows the liberals will win, my vote could go Green or NDP? why would someone "fix" this, and how does it benefit the liberals?

Do you honestly feel the Trudeau Liberals represent center left?

It doesn't seem to me we have a center left party in Canada today, which is why I was leaning center right with my vote even before Trudeau showed such flagrant disregard for our institutions vis a vis SNC-L and his subsequent refusal to cooperate fully with the ethics commissioner.

I see the latest Nanos poll shows undecided at 14%. Quite significant. I expect the campaign will only get dirtier from here on in.
