Reducing is far, far more effective than recycling.

Well especially since a lot of plastic bags are not easily recycled especially the grocery bags which you are not allowed to even put in plastic recycling.

Yes, it was a silly mistake.

you can bring plastic grocery bags into the recycling depots when you bring in your cans. Just so you know.

We get that. Plastics have provided meaningful benefits for food transportation and storage and notable environmentalists have shown even the carry-home single use bags are a less problematic option than paper or cloth. We have yet to improve upon plastics for food and will likely rely on them for some time, and must do our best to deal with this waste in the best way we can.

Recycling should never be used to excuse the creation of unnecessary waste. Plastics for election campaign signage can hardly be considered necessary or beneficial in any way. It's garbage, and it's high time people running for office stopped pretending otherwise.

That's brutal. Some people have no respect for others' points of view.

Why do these union thugs feel the need to desecrate other people's property? They can't possibly think that will help get Trudeau re-elected, can they?

I'd rather the union thugs supporting the Liberals who are responsible for this nonsense just encourage everyone to vote NDP instead. Every vote for the NDP on the Left is a good thing.

Yeah, agreed, it is roadside garbage. was just letting people know that grocery bags are recyclable because a lot go to the landfill.

Yet another Trudeau screw up - hes banning single use plastics right? There will be tons of plastic headed for Canada’s landfills/recycling depots or blowing around boulevards post election but virtue signalling Justin yet again is saying one thing and doing whatever he wants.
