Re: Poll Thread
I sure hope not. Trudeau’s smug arrogance will not be contained if he does. I know this won’t satisfy all his detractors, but a Liberal minority might at least humble Trudeau a bit and could hold him to account. However, should the Liberals actually win a majority we’ll be able to credit that outcome to the Cons and their very poor choice for “leader” (kind of like their failure to reign in Harper leading to their defeat last election). Anyone can call Trudeau a “fake” and a “phony”. Most of us were hoping for something a little bit more substantive in a leader’s debate – maybe some policy discussion even (lost his notes?).floppi wrote: Funny 338 poll says the Libs will have the best chance for a majority.

338 is the C.B.C.'s baby.
We should remember the gravity of Bob Rae's tweet warning the C.B.C. about funding should the Liberals lose the election.

Recent polling would show that Trudeau tops the polls in the fake and phoney category.Ka-El wrote: Anyone can call Trudeau a “fake” and a “phony”.
"Anyone" would be 100% correct in calling him that.

No surprise. Not surprised with Scheer's strong showing either.Pete Podoski wrote: Recent polling would show that Trudeau tops the polls in the fake and phoney category.

Not a liberal, nor a green nor NDP. But 100% for sure never vote Conservative. Not sure how I will vote not that it matters at all in my riding other than to give one party a few more dollars. The Green Barbarian wrote:
As I told the other Liberals, everyone pays attention to the poll they want. We're down to the last two weeks now, and it's all about momentum. If you don't want to believe that the Liberals are collapsing in Quebec, that's your call. Keep believing that. If you remember the terrible events of 2015, it was right around now that Trudeau started gaining momentum across Canada that led to the pain and suffering of a Liberal majority we've had to endure since. It's quite plausible that the Liberals could implode just as fast this time, especially in Quebec, where they vote a lot like Alberta, in one giant mass for one main party.
I could not find any polls that showed the Bloc picking up strength but then it has only been a couple days. However the Quebec French debate was a week ago so you would think some movement would have happened if it was going to.
. Would the Bloc still side with the Conservatives in a minority situation? The Conservatives have said that they want to build a pipeline through Quebec. Something Quebec is very much against. It does not look like anyone will get a majority. Odds of that happening are pretty low right now. But stranger things have happened.

I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that Trudeau makes some kind a very expensive election promise to Quebec during the French language leadership debate to try to gain back support in Quebec....The Green Barbarian wrote: Funny how people seem to gravitate to whatever poll they want to believe. Do I think that Quebec is dropping support for the Liberals? Yeah, probably. Trudeau totally fumbled the ball.

Have NDPers not figured out yet how to use the internet??? With 491 voes in the poll, they were running neck and neck with the PPC for 4th place (behind Libs, Cons, and Greens).jimmy4321 wrote:Castanet Poll

The official government sanctioned and manipulated French language leadership debate is tonight.... If there’s too be any significant changes in polling numbers, it’ll be later in the week.butcher99 wrote: I could not find any polls that showed the Bloc picking up strength but then it has only been a couple days. Kelowna is the least religious city in Canada outside of Vancouver Island. Bible belt, my *bleep*. If it's a bible Belt, Toronto, Winnipeg, Halifax, and Calgary are WWE sized Bible Belts.Ka-El wrote: Wow, even in the partisan Bible belt of conservative Kelowna. It would seem apparent this would

Even just a cursory glance at census data for “no religious affiliation” between Kelowna and other cities shows that is false.Glacier wrote:Kelowna is the least religious city in Canada outside of Vancouver Island.
