Saying that her black constituents have more love for Trudeau because they were somehow touched that he wanted to have a black face too, just like them, is barely short of insane. Our reputation with China? Please. Myanmar, India, Saudi Arabia, Philippines, the same, who cares, they have some of the worst reps on the planet. Even with dumb dumb at the helm, it's they that should be hoping to recover. Guess what, they don't care, so why should we.
And the USA.....they have a loser so dumb he makes stutter king sound like Sir Laurence Olivier.

There are plenty of reasons to not vote for JT, but racist? It's so laughable. If you scaled all Canadians, he's probably in the 1% closest to 'not racists at all'. Dumb, minorly deceptive, useless, out of touch, you can argue all these, but the racist red herring is a waste of time. In fact, while the righteous pound that drum the hardest, once people put it where it belongs in importance, it will turn into a positive for him.

I don't think anyone actually believes JT is racist.
It is his judgment (as an adult and professional educator) and him not disclosing these incidents of....blatant stupidity that was bound to see the light of day.
He could have gotten in front of these pictures and turned them into a "learning opportunity".

Something along the lines of:

"Even I....a paragon of virtue and social justice, can do stupid and insensitive/racist things".

Getting caught and apologizing afterwards (years later) rings hollow with a lot of people.
Despite his intent to just have a good time....blackface is very offensive to a large part of the North American population.

Furthermore, Trudeau has given plausible explanations for his departure which do not involve any sex scandal, namely that he was disillusioned with school administrators’ conservative approach to certain policies and that he simply wanted to move on in his career — two different but not contradictory reasons.
