An insight into my name

Post by stuphoto »

My first name is of course Stu ( actually Stewart )
And Photo of course comes from Photography.
However not just any photography. I pretty much only shoot Old Large Format bellows style cameras, like our grandparents may have used.

I was bored the other day, and set up a shot in my living room.

Here is the negative hanging to dry beside a freshly developed 35mm roll.

This is a 5 inch x 7 inch negative.
I also shoot a 98 year old camera which uses 8 inch x 10 inch sheets of film.

I obviously develop my own B&W film, and will be moving my darkroom closer to home soon.
It's presently set up at my moms, but not in the ideal building.

This is one of me prints, straight from the chemistry.

You may recognize it as the Japanese garden behind the Kelowna city. Hall.

Very cool stuff.

Thanks for sharing this...and keeping history and it's ways alive.

I could see you and your knowledge a great benefit to any event,
historic or otherwise.

A great fundraiser avenue for museums and ???

Lot's of possibilities there.

Thanks for the update. I will refrain from visualizing your name as I have up until now: Stupido.
Sorry, just couldn't help it. No harm was intended. :admin:

Thanks Dirtbybiker,
I quite often show people the equipment and briefly how to use it in the field.
Children love seeing their parents appear upside down in the window [icon_lol2.gif]

Unfortunately I can't really let just anyone look through it at this time because under the cloth is my personal space :135:

I was thinking a little more along the lines of you taking their picture and
straight through to development for them to buy with margins for you and
the cause raising monies for.

I'd never have enough trust to let any others grubbs near equipment such as that.

AHA! Thanks to Bsuds I found it. "found".

I did try but everything I input came up with eight pages of stuff from 2012 and back.

Nice camera!
