I heard that it was an Ikea. But I hope that it's Costco..... with a gas bar.

Neither of those.... Amazon pickup center for drone deliveries, neighbourhood will hear buzzing 24/7.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Isn't that where they are putting in a whole whack of houses? Or, is that farther up the road? I know people in the trailer park were complaining about housing above them.

Y'know, it seems they are contructing that industrial park all around ONE remaining house.

I'd love to know why they didn't sell out and move.
Did they think they could hold out for unreasonably big bucks? Then get told, "Nah. We'll just build around you. Sleep tight!"
Or did they decline a predatory low-ball offer?
Either way, it can't be fun living there now.

A good graphic of urban sprawl right there. City needs the tax base so instead of having businesses go to Spallumcheen where there are acres of space, they build an uggly scar along a busy roadway due to the lack of appropriate land within the city footprint

That’s not urban sprawl at all. It’s what 1.5k from 27th st?
Empty lots in town like this should be used up
