Owned a few dogs in my life but never a BMD. My neighbor had one years ago and he always came over for a visit on his own...such gentle giants. Loved that dog.

One of ours has what we now think is a skin infection. Been hosing and anti itch shampoo after every beach visit, still scratching. Tried changing food to kangaroo, still scratching.
Phoned for an appointment today and unfortunately can't get in until Thurs. morning. Can't have her carrying on for another 4 days without knowing what the issue is.
Fur from the belly and inside rear legs is gone. Dark skin. Bald spots on front legs....
has scratched enough to draw blood on occasion.
Going to try another vet.
