I guess the court that handed down this sentence, either doesn't understand or believe the correlation between young people who maim and kill animals, and individuals who later on commit heinously violent crimes against people. This is a well known and accepted phenom. Not a lot of information has been provided as to the rationale for not sending this man to prison for a sufficient period of time for some form of treatment for his deviant behavior.....

I do not condone these actions, however. What kind of crime is this? This guy has a mental illness, probably incurable. Sure we do incarcerate people with mental illness here in Canada, like pedophiles. Arsonists. Kleptomaniacs, and a host of others. Many people with severe mental illness can affect our culture in harmful ways and when they do the courts act appropriately, As they have now. The very idea of someone with this illness getting jail time is laughable. Here in Canada we are a more Liberal, Constitutional Monarchy and thus don't lock up every sick frack walking around.

This young man needs constant supervision. Being Autistic and having a low IQ is no excuse. I have an Autistic step son, and he is a bit of a parrot, meaning he copies others behaviors and beliefs. So I have to wonder where this young man got the ideas?
Very sad, and without the correct intervention we can look forward to seeing his name again.

Being Autistic and having a low IQ is no excuse.

There is no real correlation between autism and low IQ and violent psychopathic behavior. There are many people who have both autism and low IQ who never offend. One has to wonder about the environment he grew up in to be so unhappy.
