If we are committed to promoting recovery and really want to help people heal and get better, we need to make a radical shift in the way we regard substance use and addiction. Understanding that addiction is not anyone’s fault is a good step in this direction.

There are so many articles and studies on addiction but it's evident once the addiction kicks in those people need help.

If we are really going to solve it, we have to :

a) Legalize
b) Supply the drugs

Yes, because upon the legalization of heroin millions of people will immediately start lining up to throw their lives away through addiction. Let's just keep on doing what we're doing. After all, enforcement has been working so well this last fifty plus years.

So therefore; you are all in favour that losers should have access to Heroin?

How many new pot-heads were created after MJ became legal?

So what do you suggest then? arresting your way out of a problem doesn't solve anything. The War on Drugs is a complete failure

There are many contributing factors to the failure of the war on drugs. The biggest issue is our justice system and criminals have too many "rights" that save them from being punished. Corruption might even be a bigger issue than the justice system but either way we are opening up a can of worms.

We have a legal system - not so much a justice system.

Sounds just like a response you would see from a politician.......or Trudeau

Does it really matter what they call it? No justice comes from our Legal system unless you cant afford a good lawyer. Moral of the story, if you have money or your moneys in the pocket of the right people you can get away with murder...literally.
