So the NDP get another 4 years. BC has a short political memory. Remember the NDP of the 90's with Glen Clark and co.? Fast Ferries, Bingogate ect. Not that I'm a fan of the liberals.
As others have stated Horgan ( all politicians) need to listen to all BC taxpayers regardless of political stripe. Spend money wisely, be honest and remember you are elected to work for the people not to improve your own situation.

Well yes, congratulations to Mr. Horgan, and to all candidates . I've been called a Capitalist in a Union body or vice versus. But I will be adjusting my portfolio Monday morning and paying attention in the next few weeks to what Mr. [Hulk] Horgan does, I'm sorry Johnny. I can't really say I'm a big fan of Dan Ashton 4 years of so so Duh. We'll talk later.

The same Fast Ferries sold by the Fiberals for substantially less than scrap metal prices?

For that matter, did you know that your friend Gordon privatized the BC Ferries?
They did a good job at hiding it.

How about BC Rail scandal?

I could go on and on all day long.
But then again why bother when most people here would never believe their hero government would do anything wrong.

I do not know how he will continue to rule, but the fact that he now has every chance to go down in history as the best prime minister of the province of British Columbia. He now has the majority and we will all see if he can solve so many difficult issues that confront him in this difficult time. I think John Horgan is better off distance himself from the Ottawa NDP leader who has almost completely discredited himself and the party.

How do you come to that assessment, when it's Wilkinson who said we best wait until all votes are counted, before conceding anything?

Other Liberals echoed the same, as in Penticton where the race was closer prompting some to offer congratulations.

With around 800,000 mail in ballots to count, it seems only logical that the wisest approach, is to wait for all votes to be recorded before moving ahead.

I doubt mail in votes will unseat the majority, but for certain it's too early to call some areas.

Does Wilkinson ACTUALLY think that the mail-in vote will materially change the end result? His failing to concede the election last night puts his petulance on full display.

The BC Liberals truly deserve another 4 years in the wilderness to contemplate their future if in fact they have a future in BC politics.

It is quite easy to feign humbleness when it looks like you will have a strong grip on power with a majority. Think iron fist inside of a velvet glove, or a cold hand in your pocket. All one can do after they count all of the votes and declare a majority is to sit back and see if the mask comes off.

I think most people can manage life with an NDP majority until the bill comes due, but I have this dark vision of a federal Liberal majority stalking Canadians around the corner, and that could become uncomfortable for hard-working and/or successful BC taxpayers, and for anyone who generally enjoys the fruits of their labor and sacrafice.

None of this would matter if we had smaller governments, but it seems like we are doomed to suffer from a positive feedback loop of growing dependence on government and growing government in response. This trend will not be easily reversed, nor will we have a speedy process of failure, realization and awakening.

All one can do is observe and adjust. And for those who have made sacrifices in their own lives in order to become robust and independent, well sorry but it may end up being for naught as you are pulled-down in the name of 'equality'.
With honesty and integrity.

Politics and corruption go hand in hand, it’s just matter of time.
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.
It appears US voters hated Woke more than they hated Trump.

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

I imagine most of you have read that Wilkinson has conceded

Not that it would change much but I hope they still count the mail in votes where it could make a difference.
After all, I would hate not having my vote counted.

Let's see at the end of four years, of doing whatever the NDP wants, if you still feel they are doing such a good job, with no one having the power to hold them to account.

This Covid-19 will be used as a handy excuse to spend money like drunken sailors, and we well know that math is not, nor has it ever been, an NDP strong suit.

If ever there was a time fitting the phrase "careful what you wish for" then this is it.

Fasten your seatbelts and keep your wallet handy.
Why, everytime we have an election do we worry that the sky is going to fall? Buckle up, careful what you wish for, no accountability. We're doomed! But, of course we're not. Even if this turns out to be the worst government in the history of BC (and honestly, it's unlikely because those are some big corrupt shoes to fill), it is temporary. It's four years and exactly as you said, if I feel the NDP are doing a good job then I will vote for them, if I don't, I won't. That's what democracy is all about.
