So that's it . . . please let me know if there's ever a disaster because the government has cut me off!

They are already here. I didn't get anything on my phone, TV not on, I sort of expected to be able to hear something outside..

For the TV you had to be watching a Canadian channel.

We must be on the same list. My husband and I have never got the alerts either. These phones are about 2 years old, never got them on the previous phones either. We are with Telus, always have been.

Here we go again . . . 1:55 this afternoon there is another alert coming. I never get one despite the fact that my iPhone XR is just over a year old. I never got the alerts with my previous iPhone either. Perhaps today things will be different but one way or the other I'll post on here a little after 2:00 to let you know. I doubt that I will receive it. I've already been vaccinated so I'm not suffering from vaccination envy but I am suffering a bit from alert envy . . .

Nothing. No alert on my iPhone XR. I've never received one regardless of which phone or which provider. Oh well . . .

It appears to me that there is a glitch in the system. It's fine to be told to check with my provider but I don't think that's the issue. If the objective of the emergency alert is to reach many people then the objective is being met. However, if the objective is to get the alert to everyone with a cell phone, or almost everyone, then the objective is not being met.

Oh darn... didn’t get it, I guess my phone is to old.

What could I miss reading about...
Earthquake... area of biggest concern is lower mainland
Chinese have invaded... I suspect I will figure that out by military equipment with a star on it. :D

Etc... etc
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

It looks like most people received the alert, according to the results of this poll so far, but for some inexplicable reason some of us, even those of us with relatively new phones, are out of the loop.
