That there is no local avocate is not an assumption, that's the pet peeve.
I have no idea if anyone has tried to contact him. But is there a point to contacting him for an Okanagan problem? Or is he concerned about all of BC? Because at the rate contractors screw over people in this town there needs to be 10 Seans.

Spend some time and money on establishing an Estate plan, a Legal Will, your wishes and who is the Executor. Watch Grant of Probate videos. Understand the process to help yourself and loved ones.

Knowing the amount of cutbacks Global has done over last few years, I highly doubt they will be adding local advocate. I wouldn’t hold your breath with Castanet either.

My wife called me a dogspoiler. I am so offended.

Re: Pet Peeves
The word separate peeves me. I always want to spell it sepErate, and I have to actually think about it when I type it, because neither of its two pronunciations matches how it's spelled. Why does it have that stupid first A? (Yes, yes, I know the etymology, shut up). Why is it /ˈsep(ə)rət/ as an adjective, but /ˈsepəˌrāt/ as a verb? Argh, English is such an annoying and arbitrary language sometimes.

I may have said this one before.
Posters who don’t add a link to the story they are talking about, is definitely a Pet Peeve of mine.

The smell of bacon when you don't have any in the house.
Where is it coming from?
Our basement suite.
Our tenant is cooking bacon, which he does three or four times a month.
We buy bacon once or twice a year.
Of course the smell permeates our house. I look at my wife, knowing full well the answer
"We don't have any bacon, do we?"
More of a statement than a question.
I think our next cellar dweller will be a vegetarian.

Tsk, tsk, tsk - should always have a package or two in the freezer for such emergencies.bb49 wrote:We buy bacon once or twice a year.
