The World Economic Forum: what they espouse, publish and ask

Post by Queen K »

What does the World Economic Forum exactly say? How will their collective ideas be implemented? What does "fairer" mean, exactly? Is Klaus Straub a visionary or a monsterous visionary? Will their ideas continue to lead to progressive solutions or simply highlight and make worse the divide between the very rich and the very poor. Will the WEF ensure the last countries with a middle class actually extinguish the middle class?

These are questions people grapple with every day as the predicted date of 2030 draws nearer. 2021 brought us nine years closer to predictions that seem ludicrous and some of them certainly sound like it. Going to Mars? No, come one, why ruin yet another planet? What about the one we have now? But the WEF also talks greatly about unbridled unfettered capitalism, and the damage it's done to our environment, because you can't have everlasting growth without everlasting needs for raw materials.

So then later, in 2020, this video comes out, with the catch phrase, 'we are all in this together" but not a word about covid19, odd. But what does this word, "fairer" exactly mean? How is "fairer" being implemented, exactly? Note: this is not in bicker.

As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

How is it that meat will become a rare treat?

Because it's priced out of reach of the poor and middle classes now. Err, maybe not yet but will be. I had never seen such high steak prices as in Aberta, land of cattle. But now? I can't imagine how that's going to happen.

Unless private guns really do get rounded up and hunting licenses get cancelled.

So how is eating much less red meat going to be implemented and will that be tied into stretching western values to the limit? Does that mean the western diet will be toast by 2030?

This "you could be preparing to go to Mars" sounds off. Like a red herring to disguise where government dollars are being spent.

Preparing to go to Mars and getting the tech to keep people healthy in space is very Jetsons-esque. Not that we haven't seen technology from the Jetson's come true, and Star Trek and Get Smart (remember the phone in the shoe? It's really a small portable cell phone), which is giving pause for thought in itself.

But why the push to Mars?

This is why they rigged the election to get Trump out. A guy like Trump will never go along with "The Great Reset". Trudeau and Biden they will go along and sign anything as long as its disguised as "fighting climate change" or "global health initiatives" or "gender pronoun awareness".

The annual forums in Davos have been late January, so that video was pre-pandemic. I'm interested to see what comes out of this year's conference later this month as the pandemic has shifted the focus on some issues for sure.

It's hard to argue that our current system of capitalism is not being rattled to its roots, "trust" issues being at the heart of this. Politicians with selfish agendas have been leaning heavily on populist rhetoric to gain votes and that has lit a fire under a huge segment of society.

The LAST THING they want is redneck Canadians having access to their own land, food, water, resources, pickup trucks, campfires n' firearms. That doesn't fit in a genderless, socialist, cancel culture political mindset.
I didn't hear any mention of that sort of thing in any of what the WEF has published so far.

I think the intent here is to nudge our economy in a different direction that the one it has been on for the last fifty years or so. Just as the changes that are coming to a head now have been a long time coming, any "fix" must see an equally long time frame so as not to totally disrupt our way of life. This is evident in what they say about shifting from shareholder capitalism to stakeholder capitalism. This would not be something new so much as it would a return to the way things were in the post-WW2 economic boom, where there was a positive social contract between employers and employees, and promoting a general improvement in quality of life for all involved was seen as a good thing rather than an avoidable expense.

Big on the to-do list these days are pandemic control, environmental responsibility and inequality in all its various forms. I can't agree with those who are promoting the WEF as an instrument of evil, there is a real and urgent need for change in the way we are handling things. Preserving a status quo that isn't working just doesn't make any sense.

Although it does concern me that clear, concise information as to just what the WEF is suggesting seems to be in short supply. The information in their videos is nowhere near detailed enough to answer a lot of questions that people have.

I'm not familiar with these guys, but don't be surprised if that Mars story is a red herring.

As for the WEF and it's goals, they may be somewhat along the lines as The Great Reset, which I am vaguely familiar with.
Edit. Reading a bit further I saw this: "The Great Reset" will be the theme of WEF's Annual Meeting in January 2021.
Don't be surprised either if that is ultimately the goal here.

Our planet cannot continue it's unbridled growth and destruction of non-renewable resources. The guys at the top are not that dumb. They know what's happening and it's possible that enough of them are very concerned about our future. And of course their own financial future.
That may very well mean the end of capitalism, and to do this, it also means the end of democracy as we know it.

Beware the membership requirements:
The foundation is funded by its 1,000 member companies, typically global enterprises with more than five billion dollars in turnover (varying by industry and region)
Many of these member companies are Communist Chinese. Huawei Industries is one of them.
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

That does make sense though. If the WEF's agenda is based on "capitalism re-imagined" then you're going to have to have the corporate sector on board.
