Recommendations please for a plumber/contractor to replace all our plumbing.

We have the Poly B pipes and need to replace everything.

He said crimp fittings, i.e. PEX pipe. No soldering.

Sorry, didn't know replacing with PEX was implied.

I wouldn't do it. The risks of poly b. is overstated. But if I were to replace all mine, I'd do the work myself. Plumbing is easy and the materials are cheap. If you hire someone it will cost you $7000 bucks. Do it yourself, and it will cost you $500.

Is this even possible for the average "do it yourselfer"? I have poly b and was reminded by guy who installed new tank 4 years ago. They say its not if but when it gives out and many insurance companies don't want to know or are insisting huge deductibles for water damage cover. I asked a plumber once who was inside a home doing some work i was in and he said it would depend how many bathrooms/kitchens were in home and how many levels but upwards of $10,000 was often the case!
When i look at mine it's not about the pipes i can see its about the pipes i cannot see and all the connections behind bath/shower. Seems you would be ripping out and redoing drywall and maybe tiles and then all that patching back up and re painting. Not for the faint hearted for sure

My co-worker did all of his over two weekends. But he had the luxury of having an unfinished basement, so 95% of water lines were exposed. He put in manifolds, and did it all for 500 dollars.
