well you all are a treat :) I was traumatized as a child by worms so they are hard No.
But back to the Moon garden. Haven't you always wanted to create one.
I was also thinking of tossing in a few dead man's hands - nah, they are just too too creepy
But my Moon garden, come on you avid gardeners.. the challenge has been presented
oh this is dead man's hands

I'd volunteer except:
1) I still work, closer to full time than not
2) I don't drive anymore
3) I don't have enough time for my own gardening

Sorry, normaM!

Here are some ideas, though https://www.bhg.com/gardening/plans/by- ... on-garden/

https://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/moon-garden

https://www.diynatural.com/night-bloomi ... on-garden/

Just make sure that what you choose are zone 4-5 and they should be fine.

You can get a garden company to come in and do the grunt (and worm) work for you

I need to replace our Raspberry plants with something else. We got a boring worm that has pretty much destroyed them.

Was thinking maybe Blueberries.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?
Apparently "Robin Hood All Purpose" was the wrong answer!

Our fourth year blueberry bushes were a great success, here is the low down on how we did it.

We started out buying plants that were a bit bigger, picked out strong healthy ones, paid a few dollars more per plant. There is a blue berry bush seller on facebook, I plan to look them up and soon for our next four plants. Bman advised us not to prune them for the first years and we followed that advice.

We dug out larger than life holes, filled it with rich compost and dirt.
We Mulched around the whole plant with pine needles and coffee grounds. As they break down and acidify the soil, the blueberry bushes got bigger and happier.

Fortunately with blueberries they do not ripen all at once. Pick off the ripe ones and the younger growing berries swell up and ripen. You get the hang of picking them ripe through colour and tasting. Pick too soon and you've ripped yourself off, like every other berry. But I did not get the impression the birds went after them.

Haskups? Yes. White himrod grapes? Definitely. Saskatoon? The robin would land four feet from me and eat them. But I never spotted a bird in the blueberries. If I'm wrong, I just didn't see them and had plenty of berries to pick, we had bowls full.

I am downsizing my raspberries and buying a few different blueberry varities, two that get six feet tall and two low bushes.

I have a Ph meter if anyone would like to borrow it.

Or if you prefer, bring as many soil samples from different parts of your gardens, and use my tester here.
This method would require 1 trip.

Blueberries love acidic soil, that's why they do so well in Richmond that is a giant peat bog.

I do not like digging in the soil ( worms)....
Not long after some of my grandkids started walking, I would take them out on the driveway and patio after it rained. Worms were crawling everywhere.
And thats where I taught the little guys to pick up the worms and put them in our garden.
Ever since than they haven't been afraid of worms.

So norma, next time it rains, get a little stick and go rescue some worms.
Its not too late is it?
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.

that world Ark of save the worms has sailed
You know I read that people are getting fatter because they eat so much fruit, thinking it is healthy for them
I'm shocked you green thumbed Gods and Gods - people, can't do me a moon garden
I did plant lavender, it died, but I know I planted above the WORM line
I don't use that side of the yard so I think it would be lovely to open the window at night and smell the moon flowers
I once bought a fortune in Lady bugs to release and save the rosebushes other house
They moved as quickly as Politicians getting a winter Vacay from Canada
Poof
Hate rose bushes..

Agree on the rose bushes ... planted 4 every year for 3 years running and the damn things died. Followed instructions to the letter and decided it was a waste of money to try again. Rose bushes that came with the house are still blooming - I ignored them and they seemed happy with that arrangement.

Is this the type of moon garden you're looking for?

Found scads of seeds which have been tucked away. Can't wait to plant again. Yesterday I put some peas in uber early to see if they'd do anything.

This is year of the early spinach and lettuce too. Don't usually plant til May. That may have been a mistake all these years.

I've been really good about not buying plants yet - mini roses tempted me today - but I have succumbed to seeds. I have a pickup at the Seedy Sunday tomorrow, too! :D
