given how stupid and misogynist the NDP are I can see them having an issue with her being appointed, especially if she is gay or Jewish.
There's no such thing as gay rights, minority rights, trans rights or women's rights.

There are only individual rights. Either we all have the same rights, or we're just groups of special interests fighting for preferential treatment.

You do realize that the Conservative party had a female Prime minister, Kim Campbell, don't you.
Consider how hard it is to change yourself and you'll understand what little chance you have of changing others.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes their way.

and that in their entire misogynist 150 year history, the Liberals have only been led by white men.

I couldn't really care less what or who this person identifies as.
Don't we all care about one thing here, like how well they do their job?

That attitude is so last century. Now it's all about making sure that qualifications such as experience and track record mean nothing. All in the name of political correctness and a politician being able to virtue signal to a bunch of brain-dead mush-heads. This is why Justin gets applauded by the same mush-heads for his misogynist policy to limit the number of female cabinet ministers to 50% of the cabinet. Why should someone get a cabinet post just because he's got a penis? It's just so awful, and yet these idiots think this is somehow a good thing, because men need this leg up due to being disadvantaged in the hiring process when forced to compete with women. It's disgraceful and demeaning to men to tell them they will have a job no matter how bad they are at doing it. They need to earn it, not just be given these positions. And if a woman beats him out and is better for it, she should get the job, and forget about quotas.
