Thanks :) where did you find the black grass? I have bits of black in the front that's why I wanted to do the colour. White looks idk, wouldn't work for me
Or I can cheat and get fakes at Michaels :/

Anyone know where to find Malabar Spinach seeds or cuttings?
Not technically spinach but an edible ornamental that climbs with bright red vines. We had some a few years ago but can't seem to find them.

Would RareSeeds.com be of help?

How did the leaves taste? Strong flavour? Mild? Interested in this myself.

I found this, but from the photo I don't see the "red/purple" that you were looking for. That could be because the photo is of juvenile plants.

I also found this, but $20 USD is a lot of money for 50 seeds.

Both I found on Ebay.......

I am not a spinach kinda guy, so I don't know anything about the plant, other than growing conditions and that is minimal as well.

I'll check. I was hoping for something local but I guess I could try online.
They taste a bit more acidic than regular baby spinach, otherwise a good crunch and nice texture.

Found this but shipping is also pretty pricey.

Quick search turned up this ... Available direct from Incredible Seeds, a Canadian Heirloom and Heritage Seed Company, offering only the best natural, non-GMO, open pollinated and untreated seeds, located in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Red Malabar - 75 seeds for $3.99

Typhoon44, errrr if you don't need all 75 seeds, could I buy some off you? :D 12 or so?

I've never got so much done in the yard this early in March before. I am gearing up to get some lettuce and spinach planted tomorrow. We even have heavy duty plastic to form into covers for Spring hard frosts. Got more peas planted and I see lots of parsley pushing through, which means I have some to give away.

Good to see people are already getting the early stuff in the ground.
Lettuce, spinach, pea. What else would you suggest for planting now?
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.
