Distance Learning

Post by gardengirl »

I am looking at taking some courses online, but there seems to be a huge range of prices and course descriptions.
I am thinking about Medical Office Assistant or Nursing Unit Clerk. Something in that area.
I looked at Ok College, CDI, Sprott Shaw, as well as ICS. I tried to get info from the BCIT site and Douglas College, but it was next to impossible to navigate their websites to find the costs.

I have seen prices from $900 to $6500. They also range from 10 weeks to 40 weeks.
Does anyone have any experience with these? Which are legit? Which are just a rip off?

Tuition fee charts | Douglas College
Your fees each semester are calculated using this formula: $ per credit hour x # of credit hours +.

I found that but was not smart enough to figure out what it means.

Cost depends on the number of course credits required ... go down to the amount of credits needed for the course year for whatever course you're looking at then go across to tuition.
