To TylerM4 question nobody has their windows open, I do when the temperature reaches 13 degrees windows open air out house and fresh air. I also leave my windows cracked open a bit once snow if off the ground and at night. Reason is that I grew up in the prairies and only air conditioning was open windows and I do not know about you but I enjoy the outdoors and fresh air as to being locked up in a stuffy home.
Question 2 how much dust does the sweeper make, on Sunday what with the wind I had trouble seeing across the street, normally only for a minute or two. ON Sunday very little water used and on Thursday lots of water sprays on and very little dust.

I do agree many of my neighbours have swept their sidewalks clean. I can remember as a kid in Saskatoon in the spring sweeping sidewalks for spending money. In those day little sand as it manually spread on the streets.
Last note in four days we have had our streets cleaned four times, now is this not a waste of time and money using your common sense.

how about making winter tires mandatory everywhere,
and stop the polluting our streets and air,
spreading all that sand and gravel everywhere is a grime.

Actually in my time in Saskatoon I remember the city workers spreading cinders from the coal burning city electrical generation plant. Gave great traction and there was not a lot of fine sand in it to create dust in the spring cleanup.
