The NDP are far too simple and can find any number of reasons to hate people. I assume the only reason that they hated Climate Einstein were that she took away Ed Broadbrain's old riding.Septuagenarian wrote: ↑Jun 28th, 2021, 3:57 pm
Could this be it?
"Why would anyone hate Catherine McKenna?"

This photo was just plain awful........and and whoever took the picture needs a beginners photography lesson in composition.
........never let something or someone get in the way of the subject you are photographing.........this is almost as bad as taking a picture of someone with a tree or pole growing out of their head.

Catherine McKenna quitting federal politics, says years of online attacks were 'just noise'
After enduring a barrage of online hate and physical attacks on her constituency office during her six years as an MP, Infrastructure Minister Catherine McKenna announced Monday she will not run again in the next election.
McKenna — who led the contentious fight to levy a national price on carbon emissions as environment minister — has long been the target of sexist attacks over her vocal defence of climate action in the face of entrenched opposition.
But she said the hardship she has endured in politics was not the motivation for her departure. Rather, she said, she wants to spend more time with her kids after many nights away during her time in office. She said the COVID-19 pandemic forced her to "step back and reflect on what matters most."
McKenna also said she wants to focus her energies on fighting climate change from outside of government. She's offered to help Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the Canadian delegation at the COP26 climate talks in Glasgow, Scotland later this year.

Exactly. The NDP and their supporters seethe with pure evil, and McKenna had to bear the brunt of that evil when the NDP vandalized her office.Septuagenarian wrote: ↑Jun 29th, 2021, 5:43 am Definitely real NDP attacks on her constituency office by NDP supporters.![]()

Can't imagine why she wants out of politics.
Oh wait.
Could it be because the "Climate Barbie" folks aren't just jealous of her education, but low class, cowardly thugs to boot?

The media is just making that up. She did get a lot of online abuse, but that's not why she's leaving. I believe her when she says that her kids are growing up and she really wants to spend more time with them. If mean comments or Trudeau pushing her out helped her make up her mind to leave for her kids, then the abuse was actually a good thing because her kids probably need her at this time of their lives.crookedmember wrote: ↑Jul 2nd, 2021, 12:10 pm Can't imagine why she wants out of politics.

I think she's a nice lady, and I certainly didn't support the abuse. I think her politics is a bit naive and have a lot of disagreements, but at least she had principles and stood by her convictions, unlike her current boss.
BTW, I will make the bold prediction that the NDP wins this seat.

Climate Einstein says "Buh-bye," kills a thousands with her carbon footprint on a "look at me" tour.
CLIMATE HYPOCRISY: Former Trudeau environment minister logged 22,600 km by jet in ten days on 'climate change' goodbye tour
Former Trudeau minister Catherine McKenna logged over 22,600 kilometres by jet in just ten days, accounts show.
According to Blacklock's Reporter, the former Environment Minister and Infrastructure Minister spent over $40,000 to fly herself and nine staffers across the country on a farewell tour, after announcing that she would not be seeking re-election.
From July 24 to August 4, McKenna spent $24,000 in air fare, $9,876 in hotels, and $5,473 in meals.
"Climate change is real," McKenna said in Edmonton. "It is accelerating and it is on all of us to take advantage of the solutions that already exist."
"I want to take a second to talk about climate change," said McKenna. "If you look at what’s happening across the country, you have fires that are burning, literally incinerating towns in a matter of hours. When you consider that in British Columbia seniors are dying because of the extreme heat."
