Re: Alberta
Alberta is NOT free of rats. This is an urban, and also a rural, myth that has been around for at least 50 years. Alberta has always had this built-in superiority complex ever since the oil boom began following World War II. They staked out the moral high ground by dealing with the rat problem that has plagued mankind in every grain growing area since the dawn of time, by spraying every chemical they could find. But that was then and today, rats are found in many places in Alberta. It's just a myth that there aren't rats in Alberta, but try finding an Albertan who will admit that there are.Septuagenarian wrote: ↑Jun 29th, 2021, 1:53 pm An interesting fact about Alberta, which helps to make it a really great Province.

It's like trying to find an Albertan who voted NDP.
You have to stop comparing Alberta's NDP to BC's NDP. Two totally different platforms. I've been around both.
Obviously, after so many terms of Conservative's "entitlement" rule, a break was needed.
Sadly, Kenney is still adamant in following in the old footprints of the past, and his approval ratings show it.
FWIW...I am NOT an NDP supporter, either provincially or federal. I've made that pretty clear in my past posts...

Trying to think of something profound, and full of wisdom to place here...any suggestions?

BTW, I personally think rats are everywhere. They don't give a

I have ties to both BC and Alberta, and some of the things my cats drag in (Alberta) look reminiscent of rats to me...

Out of 481 reported rat sightings in 2020, only 26 year were confirmed to actually be rats.
More often than not, the reported sightings have turned out to be other rodents – mostly muskrats - as opposed to Norway rats or roof rats.
“The single rats that we find in Alberta have usually come from B.C. and they've hitched rides on vehicles or recreation vehicles to the province,” said Wickerson.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Albertans will have a say on equalization
Albertans will go to the polls in the fall on whether to ditch daylight saving time and try to reform federal equalization.

What a small man. Unfortunately, this seems to be typical of conservative males these days. All hat, no cattle.

Not only is Jason Kenney a small man, he’s also spineless and a liar. These are all qualities prevalent amongst conservative politicians and it’s supporters.crookedmember wrote: ↑Aug 3rd, 2021, 5:33 pm What a small man. It's that special time of year when conservatives stupidly act like they're not allowed to say Merry Christmas.

Biden: cancels Keystone XL that would have brought ethical oil to the US from Alberta.
Also Biden: pleads with sketchy OPEC members to send him more unethical oil.

Kenney talks about his taking a break to prevent burnout, nurses facing mandatory overtime and cancelled vacations take it as a slap in the face:
