First patty pan squash of the season.
The biggest is 3.5" in diameter.
The plants did nothing for a week during the heat, then the other day they took off.

My cukes have just started - only picked 3 so far. I did have to buy some this week but I expect next week will see cukes in full production.

Zucchini though - not my favourite veg and I didn't even plant any this year. But while walking on the sidewalk by Value Village, I found 2 discarded zukes on the ground. Somehow it puts an image in my mind of people being forced to take zucchini (and people tossing them asap XD)
I haven't failed until I quit.

^^^Hope you're treating Mrs S to a nice dinner after she spent all day making pickles. Garlic dill pickles?

As you should after the hard day she had.

Now, the questions ... Garlic dill pickles? Regular size or baby dills?

^^^Good for munching, diced in a potato, egg, tuna or salmon salads or as a burger topping. Also tasty when sliced for a peanut butter 'n pickle sandwich.

Do we need more 'horticultural disobedience'?

I think we do.

I love that idea. But unfortunately that's as far as it's going.
