would you turn it down if you were him
The player asked that no team draft him. It was his choice. So yes, he could realistically not sign.

He didn't want to be drafted so yes.

Few days into free agency and I haven’t seen Edmonton looking for help in net, does Smith have another year in him. Will his backup actually stop pucks in the upcoming season.

Edmonton is rumoured to have interest in Korpisalo. I am not sure why, as he has not been that great the last few years. Maybe they should consider fishing one of the excess goalies out of Dallas.

Holtby is only one in Dallas with a no movement clause. Korpisalo isn't a free agency so it would be a trade.

The rumoured trade was Koskinen, Samorukov and a first rounder for Korpisalo.

Edit: The source of the rumour is Frank Seravalli, who has been pretty deadly accurate this year. He revealed most of Seattle's expansion picks before they happened.

Koskinen would need to be willing to wave his no trade clause, anything is possible. impo they should have jumped all over Kuemper before Colorado did.

With his past record on gambling and assaults, it'll be interesting to see just how soon his career is over.
And if he's close to being bankrupt.....

Both Kane and Virtanen will probably go straight to KHL.

No Canadian hockey player should set foot in that country. At the very least not until the Two Michaels are home, alive and healthy, mentally and physically.

This is one Olympics I will not be following.
