The sad fact is most "law-abiding" gun owners don't shoot criminals. They shoot themselves, spouses, kids and friends dead.

And sometimes . . .

Yup, after Turdeau promised to not bring back the registry
No...actually we don't. I called them and they said we don't have to for non restricted. They did say it was recommended if there is any doubt about the validity of the persons PAL....like selling to someone that you can't verify the PAL in person.
I think the requirement comes in in September

Best check your stats, we are in Canada, not the US.
In Canada law abiding legal licensed, vetted gun owners are not the problem. Criminals are the problem.
But your idol Trudeau has reduced the minimum sentence for a crime involving a firearm, please explain to me, and anyone else how that possibly discourages the criminal use of firearms.
You can't, no one can, anyone who thinks they can is an idiot at least, and a Liberal Public Safety Minister at best (read as less than mediocre).

Almost every gun owner is law-abiding until the day he decides to take out a school, church or movie theatre.

That's why handguns and assault weapons will always be restricted in Canada.

You want guns-everywhere and the mayhem that goes with it, move south.

But I don't want that, neither do a couple million other legal lawful, licensed firearms owners, we are happy with the regs as they were. Trudeau now requires me to phone the CFO (9-5 mon-fri) to get an ATT so I can take my restricted firearm to a gunsmith, the police station, or a gun shop. Do you really believe that is going to stop a criminal with an illegally acquired and possessed firearm from carrying ?
Beyond belief. You guys should draft up some drunk driving laws ! Take away sober driver's cars and drunks won't drive ? Oh.........and make sure you lower the minimum sentencing for drunk drivers too.

edit, forgot a w

Speaking of the stupid Liberals and their infatuation with gun control, Quick Dick weighs in with his opinion on the matter, and just what giant fools the Liberals are. You tell em Quick Dick!!

Bill Blair is a freaking idiot, but of course, still doesn't hold a candle to how freaking dense our PM Justin is.
There's no such thing as gay rights, minority rights, trans rights or women's rights.

There are only individual rights. Either we all have the same rights, or we're just groups of special interests fighting for preferential treatment.

You may want to check history google mass murders in Canada again.

From 1969 there have been 12 recorded mass murders in Canada including the recent one with the Muslim family.
Out of those 12, 7 used a firearm or firearms, 5 used vehicle, blunt object or fists and feet.

I’m sure we can all agree that 12 mass murders are 12 too much but it’s hard to say that Canada has any type of gun problem when we have less murders per year than a metropolitan city in the USA has in one weekend.

Our previous gun control measures are working. It shows in the statistics.

Canada hasn't had a Prime Minister since 2015.

Trudeau has reduced sentences for violent crime, so of course crime rates go up. "Oh you bad boy, don't do armed robberies any more and we'll give you a lollipop and send you on your way, K?"

If someone really wanted to, they could take out a lot more than what you have listed. Ingredients from walmart/ dept store... no gun required.

So, the failed Lib's touted their "Gun Control" agenda in 2019 - wow - now they are advertising at how their agenda has FAILED and FAILED MISERABLY.

47% increase in Gun Violence AFTER they patted themselves on the back for even MORE restrictions on us Law Abiding citizens.

Well Trudeau - you are a failure - you were always a failure and you will always be a failure and so is your idiot minister Blair who hasn't got the skills to be a front man for a McDonalds order desk.

When will people actually realize that it isn't the average people driving gun crime up - IT'S THE CRIMINALS - GET IT???? Eh??????

All your doing is making law abiding gun owners scape goats for YOUR FAILURE to control the Drug Trade. It's the GANGS doing the shooting, or are you hiding in your basements like your American Loser Socialists.

Socialism is a step to Communism - I said this when that dirt bag Trudeau/Castro ( take your pick ) stole the election by catering to the druggies.

Ever wonder why people always try to escape from COMMUNISM but not DEMOCRACY???

Trudeau and his crime family have to go - better - they need to be arrested and thrown in jail.

The only thing Trudeau has done that is positive in this country is ---- NOTHING!!

Who needs guns?

They make way too much noise.

Ever try and fire a hand gun - especially a large caliber? Why do you think Gunfighters stood only 20' away - because they are terribly inaccurate, and add to the fact most people would be shaking in their boots if they had to fire it.

Believe me - there are thousands of more efficient ways - and a simple trip to the grocery store can wreak death and destruction like you have never seen - and if you study what's simply lying around in nature, and learn what to do with it, the results can be - well - "you know" - try and regulate that Trudeau you fool!!

As far as I'm concerned - everyone should have a gun - if that were the case that guy who tried to assassinate those dirt bags would not be standing long - and one less piece of garbage to clog up the courts system and the jails, and cost us taxpayers a cool million or so.

Even if you were to take away all guns - 3d printed guns are going to become the norm. It's easy to get an auto cad .dwg file on the internet for a gun. Australia is having a huge problem with that now - they made it almost impossible to own a gun if you're not a farmer - now look what's happening.
