Anti-fascist and a whole lot more.

Here, let me educate you on the TRUE meaning of that radical organization.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antifa_(United_States)
Antifa (/ænˈtiːfə, ˈænti(ˌ)fə/) is a left-wing, anti-fascist and anti-racist political movement in the United States. It is highly decentralized and comprises an array of autonomous groups that aim to achieve their objectives through the use of both nonviolent and violent direct action rather than through policy reform.[1][2][3]

The name antifa and the logo with two flags representing anarchism and communism are derived from the German antifa movement.[11]

Not sure if you want to cling to your perception of this group of thugs or move to their idolization of anarchism and communism.

And I would be surprised if Jagmeet held this group in high esteem.

Smurf wrote: Jun 13th, 2021, 7:43 am I agree that hate crimes must be controlled, but really wonder if we don't already have the laws and just are not enforcing them. One thing we do not need is a mish mash of laws for every nationality, color, sexual orientation and religion. All that does is cause division and a sort of competition to see who can get noticed the most and get the most attention. We need to beef up our hate crime laws for everyone as necessary and actually ENFORCE them. One of the biggest problems Canada has today is not enforcing the laws we already have in place.

Just Like BLM and many mother groups and people Jagmeet should be worrying about everyone and how the laws are enforced not just focusing on one particular group.
They say that we in Canada follow in the foot steps of what happens across the border from us , and the United States are calling hate groups domestic terrorist organizations and they are referring to hate crimes as domestic terrorism . They are stating that racism and discrimination is victimizing , terrorizing and traumatizing people of color because of the hate people of color are dealing with . You have white police officers stating that they can not wait for the race war to start and this is based on people's hate towards someone's skin color .

My opinion is that this has everything to do with the white races fear of becoming a minority and the declining white birth rates around the world ,and all you have to do is go to YouTube and search white races fear of becoming a minority and watch the videos and educate yourself on the reality what the future holds for the next generations of the white race . To me it does not matter who the politicians are and what political party they belong to , I am hoping that they start looking into the spiritual and humanity aspects that we all live with in order to make a difference for the people that are suffering today and to use that difference to make the world a better place for all future generations to live in .
"White races" is a very broad generalization. More salient is the notion of tribalism, and all of its manifestations. Most mature modern folks at least try to move past such things, discarding foolish notions from the past. There is nothing like living in a multicultural neighborhood to wash away such notions. Yes, there are some immature folks who "fear the other", but that is primarily based on notions of the "other" that are almost always based on stereotypes that are in fact cartoonish.

No, I don't agree with many of Jagmeet's positions. However the silly stuff I pay no attention to. Policy plans and commitments are what matters, the rest is schoolyard nonsense.

Truly Jagmeet's party embraces the left wing's policies better than Trudeau does.

Trudeau's policies are designed to punish the middle class and working poor, and enrichen his elitist billionaire friends who profit off the poverty industry.

The only true centrist party in Canada is the CPC, whose policies are designed to benefit all Canadians, irrespective of their social and economic class.

If one wants to support the policies of the left, they should vote for Jagmeet rather than elitist Trudeau. If one wants to vote for a fair shake for all, then the CPC is the only choice. If one wants to enrichen the Irvings, Bronfmans, and Westons, then Trudeau is your guy.

It's like choosing which foot to shoot oneself in. Another strategic election with votes going to the NDP to keep the other fools somewhat in check? Trudeau is obviously looking for a majority and is betting on it. The only thing to do is to keep him in the minority position as we don't have a hope in Hades of getting rid of him. Depressing but realistic. Any Conservatives missing Harper now?

Canada has been missing his adult leadership for six years now. I think if you can't vote CPC vote for Jagmeet. It's the least that you can do to get rid of the imbecile we have now, Justin.
This election, vote ABLNDP - anyone but those scumbag NDP or scumbag Liberals. "Justinda Trudeau" must go. No more global elitist scum in charge of our resources and our democracy.

Very true.

If I had to choose between Jagmeet and Justin, Jagmeet would easily be my choice.

Justin doesn't even deserve to pick up dog poop on Jagmeet's lawn.

I’m not about to vote for Jagmeet this election, but so far he’s got the best campaign ads.

Jagmeet is by far the best choice this election.

Jagmeet says he will "crack down on renovictions". Huh?

For starters that isn't federal jurisdiction, it is Provincial and Municipal jurisdiction. Gonna' change the constitution Jagmeet???

And most hypocritically, here in BC NDP mayors like bicycle Gregor and "demovictions" Derek Corrigan have been the worst offenders for "renovictions" and "demovictions".

I do agree with Jagmeet that "renovictions" and "demovictions" are problematic. It just isn't a federal matter. Can you imagine how long it would take to get building permits if it had to approved by Ottawa??? Bad enough in many places just getting a city building permit.

So either Jagmeet is muddled on what role federal government plays in housing markets, or he is gaslighting voters. Neither one is good.

Probably both, but some voters will eat it up because they have no clue either.

Jagmeet is distancing himself from Trudeau.

While trashing the corrupt Sock Boy, Jagmeet opens the door to working with Erin O'Toole.

The stench of the Trudeau Liberals is something no self-respecting politician wants to try to wash off.

Good for you, Jagmeet! Voters who don't want to vote Conservative for whatever reason can now cast a vote for Jagmeet and have a voice working with Erin O'Toole when he forms government.

Brilliant move by Jagmeet. He wants nothing to do with the disgusting Justin Trudeau!

A big duh for CPC aficainados if they read that nonsense into what Jagmeet said.

One thing Jagmeet isn't is stupid. Jagmeet knows full well that O'Toole is running around with a big paint sprayer trying to whitewash the stinky CPC.

Jagmeet and the NDP did not vote in parliament in lockstep with the Liberals, and that is to be expected. There are differences between the NDP unionist stance and the Liberals who take a more balanced approach.

That said, on key votes, such as anti-choice nonsense, climate change, conversion therapy (which most CPC MPs including the disgraced Tracy Gray voted for), seniors rights, improved pensions actually going after corporate tax dodging - Jagmeet and the CPC were diametrically opposed in how they voted, and even more so on why they voted the way they did.

There is, in real fact, almost zero common ground between the NDP and the real (not the whitewashing lipstick spreading "new" O'Toole) CPC. In the unlikely event of CPC minority government, Jagmeet might hang around just long enough to rebuild an election war chest, and then drop the hammer on the shameless, wrongheaded and duplicitous O'Toole and gang. The NDP base will NOT put up with any real cooperation with the shyster O'Toole, and I suspect that as Jagmeet has some principles (unlike the unprincipled O'Toole who lies to his own base), neither will he.

All the rest is grasping at straws by CPC aficionados as the CPC nonsense will melt away the further we get into the tight election. Jagmeet knows better than to place any trust whatsoever in the CPC and their shyster of a leader.
