Castanet had a data breach?

I learned logging in recently there was a data breach on here. This is the only place I use this handle and password combination, so it was most definitely Castanet’s forums that were breached. I do not recall being notified. Interesting.

Anyway, time to change your password on here.

I'm not aware of any data breaches. If there was one, I would definitely let everyone know. Your account was registered a very long time ago, so there are numerous things that could've happened since then that could've got your password on to a list. If you check your email address on the Have I Been Pwned website, you'll see it was included in a number of breaches:

The best thing to do is to change your password, which I see you're doing.
