Five Guys Burgers & Fries Permanently Closed.

Had to go to West Kelowna today, so figured I'd grab a burger at Five Guys Burgers & Fries, but no such luck. The windows are all taped up and sign on door says they are closed permanently.

Well that sucks donkey balls. Just checked their web site and that location is gone, gone, gone. Only 7 in BC and they are all on the coast.

Fuddrucker's has 2 Canadian locations left - both in Saskatchewan. And to quote you - they weren't so great.

Not sad and not surprised. Never had one good burger from this place in all the years it was there and it was always empty. Service was poor.

My first instinct was to wonder if they were simply relocating, but the sign on the door made no such indication.

Don't really care where you get your burger fix but do disagree with your remark about the service. I've waited far longer for my order to be taken, and food served, at other places. As for the burgers themselves taste is a subjective thing but plenty of folks did like 5 Guys. I for one don't care for fatburger.

If it weren't for people having differing opinions and tastes, we wouldn't have so many various burger joints surviving.

I for one really liked 5 Guys but didn't like the fact that they were in West Kelowna, thus I'd often get my fix at A&W or Montana's.

Yes they were one of the shortest lasting franchises ever in Kelowna. It felt like they opened one month and closed the next.

I'm sure for the Gourmet it's good but I have looked at their menu and for someone who prefers a "Normal" Burger it's not the place to go.
