How many is "so many"?

Not to mention that the term "healthcare workers" is very broad. It includes anyone working within the healthcare system. That includes, janitors, food service workers, administration staff and a myriad of other trades people. These are NOT trained Medical Professionals. Even people who are currently working in care homes frequently have very little, if any, medical training. They are hardly experts in Epidemiology, Disease Transmission, Virology.

My sister worked in a care home for a long time. Her only experience qualifying her for the job was experience as a chamber maid.

And yet, the support staff people are vital parts of a functioning hospital. Without them, the hospital cannot function properly, they are all cogs in a machine, and that machine is breaking down.

Well it could be interpreted that those people working in hospitals, whether medical professionals or support staff, who refuse to follow protocol are the reason for outbreaks in hospitals. So they could be contributing to the overload, especially in the case of care homes. This was proven early on with staff at care homes working in multiple locations, socializing outside of work, not following the safety precautions.

Says right in your article that 83,000 healthcare workers aren't fully vaccinated, which is 16% of all Hospital workers in that state. Am I missing something?
