After the "mistake" of traveling on "that day", the band is in a better position than Trudeau is to call the shots.
How so? Trudeau like his dad doesn't give a hoot about the court of public opinion. Or the kangaroo court sessions. So obviously there isn't much that others can do so they "call the shots". The people that don't matter just had an election and they couldn't get rid of Trudeau. Which is great for me.

The chief of Tk'emlups te Secwepemc wants more than just an apology from the Prime Minister — Rosanne Casimir wants Justin Trudeau to come to Kamloops prepared to discuss funding band projects, including an Indigenous healing centre.
Naturally the issue is being used to obtain another financial windfall for the band, and no doubt set a precedent to allow others to come to the trough as well.

In the end it always comes down to the same thing, extorting more money from the feds, which at the end of the day is us. As if we aren't funding enough stuff already. :cuss:

True that. And his father wouldn't have put himself in the position where someone else would be better seated to call the shots. Love him or loathe him or anywhere in between, his father understood the responsibilities of leadership and had both the brains and the backbone to lead. Whereas Justin Trudeau is one of the people his father was referring to here:

No doubt Justin's response to the criticism from the natives was that infamous quote from Marie Antoinette,
Qu'ils mangent du gâteau
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

And cheap too, only cost Canadian taxpayers $200 million per seat.
Liberals not hated by most Canadians after all.
Just Canadians with brains.

Smart??? Really?

I would say “crafty”.

Trudeau the First knew how to play one side against the other to rise up in the middle and thereby got his way with us and other politicians.

On the Trudeau the Second, he plays like a fool with almost everyone but his acolytes despising him as a boneless fish.

I love this video. SR was awesome. The one thing that both Trudeaus do know is their audience. And their supporters. As was evident this last election. JT knew that most of the conservative support was out west and in rural areas. JT knew that the keys to the kingdom were in urban areas and in the east. And for a 3rd time those uban/eastern voteres chose to keep JT in power - but with some restraint. Which is the Canadian way of doing things.

Justin didn't have a clue, but the puppeteers who control him knew that. That blithering idiot Butts couldn't stop himself from bragging about it on Twitter.

The one thing that separates father and son in my view is personal self-respect. Pierre would never have dragged an entire security detail of cops into harms way for a photo-op at a BLM rally, and he never would lower himself to be photographed in a graveyard holding a teddy bear with fake tears streaming down his face. That Justin allows himself to be manipulated and used like this by his party just shows that he is a brain-dead puppet, an actor playing a role, rather than a man who saw himself as a leader. I think Pierre would have rather died than lower himself to such a stupid level as Justin does almost on a daily basis, debasing himself all to project a fake persona that appeals to only the true mush heads of our society.

Canada is doing awesome.
Still some work to do.
Good job PM Trudeau.
Statistics Canada says the labour market added 157,000 jobs in September, bringing employment back to February 2020 levels for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

And Statistics Canada notes that the employment rate remains just below the pre-pandemic figure, reflecting the fact that job growth hasn’t matched population growth over the past 19 months.

Some of the highest vaccination rates, employment back at pre-pandemic levels, things humming along. Sounds like sound leadership to me. Don't know why anyone would complain, other than they just don't have anything else going for them.

What is the delay? Why has this not been 100% completed? Is clean drinking water not essential? Not one reason why these people continue to suffer while we are bailing out corporations or giving media outlets hundreds of million of dollars before an election that wasted even more money for what?

Instead of holding you're :cuss: :cuss: leader responsible you blame those in the past. Pathetic. History has shown that politics in Canada has been unfair to our FN people on both sides of the political spectrum so maybe JT could set the tone like he always promises and stop providing lip service.
Building complex water treatment facilities and infrastructure in remote locations during a global supply crisis and pandemic isn't exactly going to happen overnight.

Plus, the FN bands also need to be trained on how to maintain these systems. That takes investment and time.

How many did the last guy end?
Sounds like a typical liberal excuse to me. Maybe you can explain the investment JT's favorite media station was given 600 million instead of investing that into people who actually needed it? That money could have trained more people than needed to maintain these systems and got the ball rolling on these facilities. I mean he made the promise 6 years ago before the supply issues but managed to give away hundreds of millions to big corporations and his buddies during that time

By the way, the last guy never made the promise and even if they should have, they didn't. JT made the promise and like most of his promises, they are full of :cuss: just like him and his followers.
