Right! JT has been completely free of corruption and scandals hasn't he lol! I guess when you can prevent the country you serve from holding you accountable and proving your guilt then it just didn't happen.foenix wrote: ↑Oct 7th, 2021, 11:19 amYou can only compare them when they are in power to see what they do......the last time Jt's opponents were in power, they were a disaster, historically corrupt and scandalous so yeah until JT and the LIbs approach the level of the last dysfunctional party, I will still vote for them.AtlantisKelowna wrote: ↑Oct 7th, 2021, 10:15 am
So your logic is that a proven liar is the lesser of two evils when the other person hasn't proven to be unethical? Wow, no wonder this country is falling apart.

Yes, the liberals just had an election, *bleep* away hundreds of millions, and couldn't gain a majority government. The people who matter did all they could to prevent that.nucksRnum1 wrote: ↑Oct 7th, 2021, 2:33 pmHow so? Trudeau like his dad doesn't give a hoot about the court of public opinion. Or the kangaroo court sessions. So obviously there isn't much that others can do so they "call the shots". The people that don't matter just had an election and they couldn't get rid of Trudeau. Which is great for me.

To people who don't actually care about FN water issues, but just need a gotcha moment to use to fuel their irrational hate on for Trudeau, yes it would sound like excuses.AtlantisKelowna wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 8:30 amSounds like a typical liberal excuse to me. Maybe you can explain the investment JT's favorite media station was given 600 million instead of investing that into people who actually needed it? That money could have trained more people than needed to maintain these systems and got the ball rolling on these facilities. I mean he made the promise 6 years ago before the supply issues but managed to give away hundreds of millions to big corporations and his buddies during that timezerograv wrote: ↑Oct 7th, 2021, 10:42 am
Building complex water treatment facilities and infrastructure in remote locations during a global supply crisis and pandemic isn't exactly going to happen overnight.
Plus, the FN bands also need to be trained on how to maintain these systems. That takes investment and time.
How many did the last guy end?
By the way, the last guy never made the promise and even if they should have, they didn't. JT made the promise and like most of his promises, they are full ofjust like him and his followers.
Otherwise they'd have been screaming at other governments for action on this. If not, they've proved their true intentions.
The fact of the matter is, while late, nobody has done more for this issue than the current government.

If we're comparison shopping, JT and the Libs are not even close to the level the "other" guys were at and I certainly didnt see any accountability from them at all.AtlantisKelowna wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 8:32 amRight! Hmmmm.....that should have been a chance for a change in government if the Canadian voters were dissatisfied, no? That JT and the Libs were elected back to power should be a clue as to how the other party was sorely lacking, hey?AtlantisKelowna wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 8:41 amYes, the liberals just had an election, *bleep* away hundreds of millions, and couldn't gain a majority government. What does this have to do with Justin?
Are they though? Tried buying any appliances, cars or real estate lately?employment back at pre-pandemic levels,
Not really, but thanks.things humming along.
Sounds like giant loads of BS to me.Sounds like sound leadership to me.
Because Justin and the Liberals just plain suck. It's pretty simple.Don't know why anyone would complain, other than they just don't have anything else going for them.

This, too.The Green Barbarian wrote: ↑Oct 7th, 2021, 10:40 pm The one thing that separates father and son in my view is personal self-respect. Pierre would never have dragged an entire security detail of cops into harms way for a photo-op at a BLM rally, and he never would lower himself to be photographed in a graveyard holding a teddy bear with fake tears streaming down his face. That Justin allows himself to be manipulated and used like this by his party just shows that he is a brain-dead puppet, an actor playing a role, rather than a man who saw himself as a leader. I think Pierre would have rather died than lower himself to such a stupid level as Justin does almost on a daily basis, debasing himself all to project a fake persona that appeals to only the true mush heads of our society.
Justin Trudeau uses people, and he allows himself to be used for "popular" agendas. Pierre didn't give a fig what others thought, particularly when the "others" were being fools.

While this entire article is worth a read, the one part that really grabbed my attention was this…
https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnis ... h-vacation
“ According to Le Journal de Montreal newspaper, Trudeau rented the Tofino beachfront “surfer’s paradise” from a couple whose business dealings have seen them lobby Trudeau’s PMO as well as show up in the Paradise Papers.
The $18.7-million beachfront estate on Chesterman Beach is owned by Merrin McRoberts. At various times the six-bedroom, seven-bath home has been owned by her husband James McRoberts or companies that they own.
There is no known donor link between Trudeau and the McRoberts family but according to Le Journal, a McRoberts company has lobbied Trudeau’s office on the legalization of cannabis. Many of the companies that McRoberts is known for investing in include companies that will facilitate online payments for products that other companies will shy away from such as pot or porn.
James McRoberts also shows up in the Paradise Papers, a collection of documents released on offshore tax havens. Despite both James and Merrin McRoberts living in England for most of the past few years, one of their Calgary addresses was linked to two online payment firms that showed up in the Paradise Papers.
No one should be shocked that Justin “the rich need to pay their fair share” Trudeau would be in any way affiliated with someone using offshore tax havens. Trudeau’s chief fundraiser, Stephen Bronfman, is also named in the Paradise Papers as setting up a scheme for the late Senator Leo Kobler — Pierre Trudeau’s chief fundraiser.“

What a load. CBC is a crown corporation. If the conservatives were in power they would be paying for CBC as well. The difference is that conservatives hate crown corps - and would do their best to run it into the ground. And then sell it to a donor for pennies on the dollar. And there would be a pork barrel stipulation when sold off in fine print that the profits will be private - and the losses will be paid by taxpayers.AtlantisKelowna wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 8:30 amSounds like a typical liberal excuse to me. You are right that NO ONE, anybody, should be shocked that JT was harboured by those who who use offshore tax havens to safely keep their ill-gotten riches from the Taxman. Kinda reminds me of the Xmas vacation he took on the Aga Khan’s Island, another of whom sought OUR tax dollars (and got them) by lobbying the corrupt Lieberal gov’t.

Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

Because there was no reason, not one, for Trudeau to call an election when he had two years left in his mandate. 600 million more of our dollars out the window just so Trudeau could "win" what he already had. you can't fix stupid. Either with Trudeau or anybody stupid enough to still support him despite all the lies and scandals.nucksRnum1 wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 6:20 pmOtool ran on deficits too. Re: All Things Trudeau, Chapter 2
There was a great reason to call the election. The conservatives were filling their heads with illusions of grandeur that they were the "only" voice of Canada. The election put that notion to rest. Trudeau has at least 4 years of relative safety to implement his legacy to Canada. And to pass the torch to his successor. Not to mention letting the carbon tax marinate until Canada is crazy enough to elect a conservative government that will shoot all of us in the foot and ruin positive revenue streams. For me, those were all excellent reasons for an election. The voters made their intentions clear. They don't want conservatives anywhere near tax dollars/economy or running Canada in a pandemic. Conservatives have 4-5 years to figure out what Canadians want.mikest2 wrote: ↑Oct 8th, 2021, 6:51 pmBecause there was no reason, not one, for Trudeau to call an election when he had two years left in his mandate. 600 million more of our dollars out the window just so Trudeau could "win" what he already had. you can't fix stupid. No, it was needless, useless and spoke nothing, simple greed and stupidity. The Trud did not get his majority so he will pull this crap again. when my children did this sort of thing, they got spanked.
