I don't disagree with the letter to Castanet. They should have probably gotten someone a bit more sympathic when they were interviewing for the story

give them the option of a daily covid test and use the same protocols as before..proper cleanliness and PPE..we need them !! we are already short staffed..things were really bad before, this is only going to make it worse..this is going to become a very sad fact very soon, unless of course it gets ignored or censored by the media..

Well, jeeez.
They ONLY had one option to get the job in the 1st place, and that was to get the education.

In order for them to get the education, they had to pay for it, and many have had to get student loans to do that.

Most employers would have faith in that employee to make rational and informed decisions based upon their training, NOT on their personal feelings. (after all, could a Catholic nurse work in a hospital that performed abortions?)

They're being told if they don't put this untested vaccine in THEIR body regardless of whatever reason they have for not doing it they will lose their job that's completely unethical in every way.

But then why have the majority of health care workers have had the shots and continuing to go to work? What do they know that the unvaccinated don't?
This mandate to be vaccinated when in the health care business I think is a good one. I'd be thinking most would as well.

Pretty sure it has been tested. I've received two Pfizer and am just fine thank you. Brother had Astra and did have a reaction for 3 days but is fine after the second shot being Pfizer.

^^ well I believe that they have every right to work with the same precautions that were in place when the virus ( and every other infectious disease that they can encounter everyday) first came out and they bravely faced it without knowing if it could kill them or their families..

and I will respect that you think it's idiocy that other human beings might disagree with how you view the vaccine...but don't you think firing Health Care Workers ( when there has always been a shortage of) during a "deadly" pandemic when there's nobody to replace them instantly is just as stupid ??..making a weaker system more weaker screams idiocy to me..

I work in Health care.
Nothing wrong with the covid vax but something potentially deadly
with covid.

A vaccine was unavailable at the beginning of the novel coronavirus. So no, there is no logic to saying that they have some sort of god given right to ignore the existence of a useful vaccine that has been developed since then.

They should "bravely" get vaccinated instead of being petulant little children.
