Ho Chi Minh City and the wider south in Vietnam finished its 24-hour-a-day Covid-19 lockdown of three months last week, allowing people to venture out to buy food rather than wait for soldiers to coordinate deliveries to their homes. Soldiers had manned barricades between precincts as part of social distancing orders known as Directive 16.

Bars remain shut, but gyms are open and some domestic flight paths are resuming. Workers locked up in dorms are flooding back to their home provinces in droves, clogging roads that were empty only days ago, creating further worries of virus spread.

Vietnam will lift the lockdown in its largest city on Friday, ending nearly three months of restrictions on movement to curb a coronavirus surge.

People in Ho Chi Minh City, a metropolis of 10 million, will be able to leave their homes, restaurants can serve take-away meals and other essential businesses can open, the city said on its website on Thursday.

Seriously? Did you do even a single second of research? This is just getting silly at this point. They’re all trying to ramp up vaccination efforts and have all had various forms of lockdowns… most of which were much more severe than anything we experienced.

According to the statement from Kaduna, apart from civil servants, visitors to government offices will need to present their vaccination cards or evidence of registration with the state Ministry of Health for the purpose of vaccination, with their protective masks worn before they would be allowed into the government offices.

And Pakistan…

An increasing vaccination rate and strict health measures, including a ban on businesses and lockdowns in selected areas, have helped Pakistan bring down the daily number of COVID-19 cases by more than 50 percent in September.

During the first 11 days of September, daily cases hovered well above 3,000, prompting the government to impose strict measures which included school closure, a ban on gatherings and dining at restaurants, closure of cinemas and sports centers, besides restrictions on business activities.

Starting from Friday, the NCOC imposed a ban on unvaccinated people on boarding domestic and international flights and entering educational institutions, shopping malls, wedding halls, hotels and guesthouses.

And Algeria just lifted a nationwide lockdown a few days ago…

Consequently, "the government has decided on Monday to fully lift lockdown measure over the rest of 23 provinces as of Oct. 20 for 21 days," reads a statement of the Prime Minister Office.

It noted that family gatherings, such as weddings and sit-ins in the streets and public places, are still banned under the pandemic sanitary measures.

The problem with all of this is the fact that there are alternate treatments. When you even have the sniffles and are worried you may have a virus (in particular a respiratory virus) there is nothing but safety behind something like Ivermectin, yet it is squashed and hidden by our government's. It doesn't hurt to roll it out and try, just ask India *bleep*.

The problem with all of this is the fact that there are alternate treatments. When you even have the sniffles and are worried you may have a virus (in particular a respiratory virus) there is nothing but safety behind something like Ivermectin, yet it is squashed and hidden by our government's. The problem is that there are practically no alternative treatments, and ivermectin is not one of them.
the problem is it is fine if the person has a mild case anyway, which many do, so it will seem as if IM saved their life.
But what happens if they get a serious case of covid, because there is no evidence IM works for that.
There's a good reason why the manufacturer of IM isn't pushing it for covid, because it's not proven to work. But if someone wants' to try it, there's nothing stopping them, it's russian roulette if they get a serious case of covid tho.
The only hopeful possible treatments are a covid pill that is being developed, not sure how close it is to being proven or more widely used. In the meantime, people should get the vaccine, and then if they want to play around with IM, at least they won't die trying.

How about last year. At this time last year we were in the middle of a lock down. Wash your hands, social distance, wear a mask, and a flu vaccine. Done. What happened? No flu. Apparently our preventative steps worked for the flu. Now we have another tool in our arsenal against covid and that is the vaccine. Any reason to doubt that a similar result might occur if we were all vaccinated?
