During a technical briefing regarding COVID-19 in Saskatchewan on Wednesday, chief medical health officer Dr. Saqib Shahab got emotional.

Shahab was presenting modelling that shows Saskatchewan’s health care system is struggling under the demands of treating COVID-19.

He was in the middle of speaking about how individuals can take action when he started to cry.

“I have no shame in pleading to the public that we’ve gone so far and we just have to pull along for the next few weeks or months. It’s distressing to see what is happening in our ICUs and hospitals,” Shahab said, fighting back tears.

Saskatchewan voters: "Let's elect this guy with barely a grade 12 education, whose habitual drunk driving killed a young mother. What could possibly go wrong?

I agree, Scott has been doing a fantastic job, and it's good to see the COVID numbers coming down. You would think that would be something to celebrate, and I'm sure the people of Saskatchewan will be happy to re-elect Scott and his fine team. You have to think though how many Saskatchewan residents would have been spared a COVID death had our federal government not been such incompetent bumbling idiots when it came to procuring vaccines. You have to hand it to the provinces, the idiot Feds have not made it easy for them.

Saskatchewan's cabinet is more concerned about getting in on shady land deals than they are about the health care of their citizens. Every time that a highway gets straightened out, the land gets bought by somebody's wife or brother and then flipped to the province for a huge profit. The province is building a rail/truck terminal and guess what? Yeah. Chunks of land got snapped up by party insiders. Meanwhile, the province's hospitals are overflowing into Ontario and the army is coming in to help with the ICUs.

Actually, most of the variants came from the US. Shutting down flights from asia that permitted Canadian nationals to get home wouldn't have helped.
