Then they will whine that they are not fairly represented.
Well just show them my spread sheet

Funny how the 6 provinces that don't gain a seat aren't biotching like Quebec.
Here’s how the changes shake out across the country:

British Columbia: +1, for a total of 43 seats
Alberta: +3, for a total of 37 seats
Saskatchewan: 0, staying at 14 seats
Manitoba: 0, staying at 14 seats
Ontario: +1, for a total of 122 seats
Quebec: -1, for a total of 77 seats
New Brunswick: 0, staying at 10 seats
Nova Scotia: 0, staying at 11 seats
Prince Edward Island: 0, staying at 4 seats
Newfoundland and Labrador: 0, staying at 7 seats
It is built into the process that the seat allocation for the territories remains unchanged.

They can’t just take one or two from the maritimes, it would take a constitutional amendment because of the way it was set out at confederation.

PEI cannot fall below four seats in the Commons or the Senate.

You can thank he who shall not be named for that.
The Québécois nation motion was a parliamentary motion tabled by Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 and approved by the House of Commons of Canada on Monday, November 27, 2006. It was approved 265–16 with supporters in every party in the Commons. The English motion read:

That this House recognize that the Québécois form a nation within a united Canada."
