From reading history, it is the religions that want to take universal rights. Why should I respect it again? it believes in nonsensical things and is harmful to society. Mad that you can't burn unbelievers at the stake anymore?Glacier wrote: ↑Nov 14th, 2021, 1:09 pm The amount of open bigotry is society is jaw-dropping. There's a popular meme that says "when you're dead, you don't know that you're dead. The same is true if you're stupid."
This is also true when you're racist, anti-semitic, or bigoted.
When you proudly declare your bigotry in total unawareness of how ironic you sound, it's best to try and get rid of your own hatred before speaking further.
Because some Christians, Jews, Muslims, Sikhs, or Buddhists do X, that is no excuse to take away fundamental rights of the group in question.
Either you support universal rights, or you're a hatemongering bigot.

Not all churches are like you described. Prejudice and hatred is the only thing that could keep you from understanding this. Many I agree are very bad...just not all. I hope that is obvious to you. Its like saying a person of a certain color is for sure this way or that way. obviously they are not. And yes, what I am part of is a good one and in fact spends a lot of money helping people. They have no businesses at all they run. Zerosobrohusfat wrote: ↑Nov 14th, 2021, 9:15 am
"...Oh but that wasn't OUR kind - It was THAT kind..."
lol
If you still think that distinction is going to make any real difference - well, go ahead and hang-on to that for as long as it lasts.
ah man - good times.

Wait a minute....are you saying that the rapture is coming soon? I remember the cheesball bottom shelf VCR movies about the rapture in bellbottoms. One second a guy is mowing the lawn.....and the next......he is gone!sobrohusfat wrote: ↑Nov 16th, 2021, 6:48 pm How nice for you.

How many times have you Christians would predict the End Times and the Rapture since the Late Antiquity Period and have all been wrong. Seems Christianity is a bunch of rubbish.Hmmm wrote: ↑Nov 16th, 2021, 9:20 pmI know it wont matter soon. Thank yousobrohusfat wrote: ↑Nov 16th, 2021, 6:48 pm How nice for you.

Legions are already heavily prop taxed on any revenue producing parts of their buildings/land, such as where alcohol is sold. I hear much of the 2013 demise of the Penticton Legion on Martin was due to big commercial prop tax bills (as reported in news). Legions selflessly help veterans and others in need.Glacier wrote: ↑Jul 3rd, 2021, 4:50 pmWhat about Mosques? Or Legions? Or Summer Camp clubs?nucksRnum1 wrote: ↑Jul 3rd, 2021, 4:18 pm Northern municipality is talking about charging church property taxes. I am personally all for it.
