LOL! What utter fools the Liberals are. Just the worst.
Trudeau minister vows to root out racism in department Liberals have managed since 2015
Using Fraser's own logic, the Trudeau government has managed a racist department for nearly seven years.

Trudeau's Immigration Minister Sean Fraser vowed yesterday to root out racism within his own department. The Trudeau government has been in control of the Department of Immigration since 2015.

The Trudeau government has stood up to many failed challenges from the always-incompetent CPC, and this trend is expected to continue. Great news for Canada!

Keep up the great work, Justin!
Trudeau’s government expected to survive even as O’Toole and Singh slam throne speech

The Liberal government’s throne speech called for solidarity, unity of purpose and swift “action” by parliament in the face of challenges new and old.

But if there was one throne speech surprise, it was the absence of any attempt by the minority government to reach across the aisle and extend an olive branch to any Opposition party.

Despite that, the speech read out by Gov. Gen. Mary Simon presented a Liberal agenda that was vague enough to earn early support from Bloc Québécois Leader Yves-François Blanchet who damned it with faint praise.

“I would have liked it to have a few things in the picnic basket but not a total absence of content,” said Blanchet. But he said, “you can’t vote against apple pie.”

With that tepid endorsement and the Bloc’s support for a Liberal bill to scale back pandemic benefits, the separatist party leader ensured the early survival of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s second minority government.

The speech contained no new measures, but called on all parties to work together to swiftly move to end the pandemic and build a “resilient economy” as Canada confronts climate change and seeks reconciliation with Indigenous people.

The Trudeau government not only works hard for Canadians at home, but also those abroad. Such great leadership from Trudeau ensuring the safety of Canadians no matter where they are.
With Ethiopia on the brink, Canada warns citizens to leave immediately

The government of Canada is advising all Canadians in Ethiopia to leave the country immediately.

The advisory came just days after Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called his Ethiopian counterpart Abiy Ahmed — one of several calls Ethiopia's prime minister has had to field lately from foreign leaders concerned about the fate of the world's twelfth most populous nation.

"I underscored the need for an immediate cessation of hostilities, increased humanitarian access on an urgent basis and meaningful dialogue towards a peaceful resolution," Trudeau said.

But foreign admonitions seem increasingly irrelevant to a government that believes itself to be in an existential struggle.

Earlier this month, Abiy Ahmed called on Ethiopian civilians of fighting age to head to the front — then 270 kilometres from the capital Addis Ababa — to do battle to save the nation. This week, with the front about 50 kilometres closer, he announced that he was heading there himself, leaving his deputy PM in charge.

An African Union mission has arrived in the country to try to broker a peace deal that would require concessions neither side seems willing to make.

Today, Trudeau was on the phone again with the African Union's representative for the region, former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo. According to a readout of the call, he expressed "Canada's strong and ongoing commitment to supporting efforts to bring a peaceful resolution to the conflict."

What a great appointment by Justin Trudeau. The Liberals appoint such great leaders - its no wonder they've won 3 elections in a row!

Gen. Wayne Eyre named permanent chief of defence staff

Gen. Wayne Eyre can drop the word "acting" from his title. Today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appointed him chief of the defence staff — the top position in Canada's military — on a permanent basis.

Eyre, the former commander of the Canadian Army and an Afghanistan combat veteran, has been filling the defence chief's role on an acting basis since Admiral Art McDonald voluntarily stepped aside in February after being informed he was under investigation for sexual misconduct.

Last summer, military police concluded there was insufficient evidence to charge McDonald with any criminal or code of service discipline offence in relation to an alleged incident more than a decade ago aboard HMCS Montreal.

In a media statement, Trudeau said he has full confidence in Eyre and noted that the last several months have been a trial by fire.

"Throughout his career, General Eyre has demonstrated dedicated service to his country and to Canadians," the prime minister said.

"Over the past year, his lived experience has played a vital role in providing strong leadership and helping Canadians across the country as they faced important and increasingly difficult challenges."

The Trudeau government reiterates its commitment to mitigating climate change - one of the many reasons they have been elected 3 times in a row.
Trudeau says disaster program is ‘oversubscribed’ amid storms in B.C., Atlantic Canada

During an emergency debate in the House of Commons on Wednesday, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau pointed to recent storms in B.C. and Atlantic Canada as further proof that more investment in climate change mitigation is needed, admitting the federal Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund is “oversubscribed.” The fund committed $2 billion over 10 years to infrastructure projects that would make communities more resilient to climate change.

Biden imposes more tariffs on Canada just six days after meeting with Trudeau
The US will raise tariffs on Canadian lumber from 9 to 17.9 percent. This will affect already the already struggling lumber industry.

Just six days after President Biden hosted Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Washington the US decided to raise traffics on Canadian lumber.

This came in spite of Biden and Trudeau's promising cooperation. One MP, for instance, said that "Canadians were promised a renewed relationship," according to Blacklock's Reporter.
The US will raise tariffs on Canadian lumber from 9 to 17.9 percent. This will affect already the already struggling lumber industry in British Colombia and New Brunswick.
Despite these severe tariffs, the prime minister said that his trip had reaffirmed "their commitment to advance the Canada-US relationship."

"The US president didn’t even warn the prime minister that America would be doubling tariffs on softwood lumber," said one Conservative MP. "Either Prime Minister Trudeau didn’t mention softwood lumber in his meeting with President Biden in Washington, or the president just doesn’t put much stock in what the prime minister has to say," he added.

Another of the many, many reasons Justin Trudeau keeps winning elections.
Statement by the Prime Minister on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

The Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, today issued the following statement on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women:

“Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we come together to condemn misogyny and sexism in all of their forms, and remain steadfast in our work to ending gender-based violence here in Canada and around the world. We also recognize the survivors, advocates, and community-based organizations, who work tirelessly every day to end discrimination and violence against women and girls, and support survivors.
..
“The Government of Canada is taking action to prevent and address gender-based violence, including investing more than $600 million over five years in Budget 2021 to develop a National Action Plan to End Gender‑Based Violence, which builds on the federal Gender-Based Violence Strategy announced in 2017 and the National Strategy to Combat Human Trafficking launched in 2019. From this funding, the government has committed $30 million, over five years, to support crisis hotlines in their work to help those experiencing gender-based violence. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have invested nearly $300 million to support shelters, sexual assault centres, and organizations assisting women and children experiencing violence. This funding will ensure that these organizations are able to provide the necessary services and support to those who need it most. Additionally, the 2020 Fall Economic Statement has committed $724.1 million to establish a comprehensive Violence Prevention Strategy to increase access to a continuum of culturally relevant supports for Indigenous women, children and LGBTQ2 people, including Two-Spirit, facing gender-based violence. This strategy includes the construction of new Indigenous-specific shelters and transitional housing across the country.
..
“Today, as we start the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, let us reflect on what everyone can do to address and to protect the rights and well-being of women, girls, and gender-diverse people to bring an end to gender-based violence in Canada and around the world. I encourage Canadians to participate in activities being held around this year’s theme, ‘16 and Beyond,’ and use the hashtag #16Days on social media. By speaking up against acts of gender-based violence, we can build a more inclusive, safer, and brighter future for everyone.”

This is a lie. No one muzzled anyone when the fantastic adult Stephen Harper was in power. How many scientists who agree that man-made climate change are a hoax (and there are a lot) are being muzzled by the Liberals? It would be interested to know, given what a terrible person Justin Trudeau is.

Has anyone, anywhere at all, ever heard what the muzzled ones had to say?

And if so, what the hell was it?

Curious and curiouser

To be fair every PM in the past generation has had to fight the softwood tarrifs. Even though there is a free trade agreement. It seems like it is a game the US plays wasting money on litigation and court costs.
