Re: BKR. Vaccine Hesitant
The roughly 13% who are UNvaccinated make up 68.4% of the hospitalizations. Why such a high rate? Maybe they should get vaccinated.MAPearce wrote: ↑Nov 26th, 2021, 4:38 pm Found this interesting ..
The new/active cases include:
100 new cases in Fraser Health – Total active cases: 1,071
65 new cases in Vancouver Coastal Health — Total active cases: 536
77 new cases in Interior Health — Total active cases: 593
31 new cases in Northern Health — Total active cases: 381
68 new cases in Island Health — Total active cases: 448
From Nov. 18-24, people not fully vaccinated accounted for 59.2% of cases and from Nov. 11-24, they accounted for 68.4% of hospitalizations.
It seems that the vax isn't working .. So why does the gov't force it ??

Re: BKR. Vaccine Hesitant
The real question should be: With almost 25% more daily cases and close to 50% more active cases, why is it that the Fraser region is allowed full capacity at sporting events, concerts, etc, while the Interior is only allowed 50%??MAPearce wrote: ↑Nov 26th, 2021, 4:38 pm Found this interesting ..

ie . instead of the 59.2% "not fully vaccinated" with Covid , turn it around and say it like it really is Brenda .. 40.8% of Covid cases are FULLY vaxxed .. AND , yes there's more, the fully vaxxed account for almost 1/3 of hospitalizations ...
Is it working Brenda ?? and is it worth the side effects ??

But it shows how Uncle John runs his politics . The Interior is a center right stronghold and he's a lefty .. He's punishing us because we didn't vote for him .. Remember when Christy was premier and was given her seat by Ben Stewart ? Westside road got fixed up pretty quick ..
It's how politics work .

Unvaccinated People Drive Up COVID Cases, Hospitalizations and Deaths
They’re 46 times more likely to die, new BC modelling finds.

Whatever... really? That's all you have to say after people died needlessly due to medical malfeasance. I guess you feel the same way about the quarter million in the US and 27,000 in Canada who die every year due to medical errors.Whatever. This is why medicine is looking to other treatments like Merck or the Pfizer or the other one being done intravenously in AB as outpatient. If these other options work and can keep costs down and less crowding and less deaths...all good. Let's hope it gets all settled. Then this can just transition to a manageable disease and we can all just get back to normal.
And then frickin' SA stumbles across a new variant what with their 40% or whatever vaccination uptake. Crap.

Who are you referring to Bob?? I didn't attend UVIC, but makes no difference. Too bad you never graduated high school.MAPearce wrote: ↑Nov 26th, 2021, 5:32 pmTypical response from a UVIC alum .. Read the numbers backwards ..Silverstarqueen wrote: ↑Nov 26th, 2021, 5:03 pm

Over 85% of eligible are vaccinated, yet only 40% of cases (mostly mild cases)are from vaccinated pop, so vaccine is working.
You still haven't explained why that tiny minority of B.c. eligible make up almost 70% of hospitalizations. Aren't they supposed to be the younger, healthier ones who thought they didn't need a vaccine?

It's not medical malfeasance. It's the known treatment available.
How do all you people that just hate everything and everybody get by every day? That's a long life to live in total hatred and mistrust of everything in society. Wow.

Say that again.. really SLOW . Almost HALF are in the vaxxed is how I read it .Over 85% of eligible are vaccinated, yet only 40% of cases (mostly mild cases)are from vaccinated pop
And if "mostly mild cases" mean anything , it means to me that the risk of myocarditis isn't worth it

If the unvaccinated were doing so great, and had such great immune systems, what are they doing in hospital in such disproportionate numbers, considering their small minority in the general population?

Who says all of the active cases are in hospital ? It doesn't say that in the quote I posted ... As for the "numbers" , they clearly indicate a sharper increase in hospitalizations among the vaxxed than expected .. You know considering the effectiveness boasted by the vax's creators .
