I think it would be fairer to have the option of taking a test or self isolating whichever they prefer.
That may be because you're still a fair-minded, logically rational human being.

The fine should be higher and she should lose her job!

You do realize Ottawa dropped pcr test for quick trips across the US/Canada border, impo the person needing to fired is whomever didn’t update their border service employees.
Sure, it was just a bad joke about another covid gong show.

Oh heck, then why not make it $10,000 and the person's first born child.
It's not like we expect the government to have any feelings what so ever towards it's own citizens.

No test for vaccinated Canadians returning to Canada within 72 hours is effective as of 8 minutes ago (Nov 30th) - praying to God it stays - we're heading down in couple of weeks for some much needed shopping. Stock up on some goodies from Trader Joe's.

Good luck with your prayers.

Just called a store south of the Border and they are telling me they have Canadian customers who have come down for the day.
Don't understand why there is nothing in the news about it.

OK. This is straight from the horse’s mouth. We did a crossing today to Oroville to see what was in the mailbox at the Post Office.
(Huge basket….about 60 pounds of magazines and junk mail)….
We stopped at Canada Customs on the way down to confirm that same-day trips are okay.
We were told, “Yes, certainly, you are welcome to come down for the day as long as you go on to the ArriveCAN app EACH AND EVERY TIME YOU VISIT THE USA, or else you will be like the other 100 or so people that I have already had to send home today to quarantine for two weeks.”
Yikes! Glad we stopped in. Went home and did the app….(took 20 minutes).
Went back down. 3rd in line….no waiting.
No big bargains there. Lots of frozen turkeys for $1.38 / lb. Gas worked out to $1.19 CAD per litre.
Brought six Bud Light Lime and a couple bags Funyuns.
So, don’t forget ArriveCAN!
