I agree, the pre-Trudeau government really gutted Veteran's affairs. Thankfully, due to the hard work of Justin Trudeau and Stephen Fuhr, the Veterans Affairs office in Kelowna was reopened, like many others. Thank you Mr. Trudeau and Mr. Fuhr for standing up for Canadian veterans!!

I agree, the Trudeau government of 2015 - 2019 really gutted Veteran's affairs.
Do you mean when the conservative brainiacs shuttered VA sites and made veterans prove they didn't eat a bean and grow legs in the calendar year?? Good times. Or when you couldn't be served by VA because the conservatives had 1 receptionist for all veterans across the country - because they hate public servant employees? How conservatives can even have the gall to place Liberals in the same category is pretty ballsy. Especially when offices were reopened and there was evidence that the Liberals did improve things.

Try using facts sometime, then someone might listen. The Trudeau Liberals restored many offices that had been closed, including the one in Kelowna. https://www.kelownacapnews.com/news/kel ... -re-opens/

Kelowna’s Veterans Affairs Canada office re-opens

The office is on Queensway Ave and will employ approximately nine staff who will serve approximately 3,500 Veterans in the area.

Veterans, their families and local officials joined Kelowna-Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr Tuesday for the reopening of the Veterans Affairs Canada office in Kelowna, British Columbia."

And the Trudeau Liberals have upped the Veterans Affairs budget and spending by over $2 billion. https://www.veterans.gc.ca/eng/about-va ... igures/2-0

So your CPC porky line doesn't wash.

No, I'm talking about this:

Good times with "Skippy" Justin Trudeau...

I can't take this seriously. The guy is a proverbial Albertan whiner. Trudeau can call a mulligan on that one.

Wow, this guy is calling out the government for their mistreatment of veterans and you have the nerve to insult him!

Why, because he's supposedly from Alberta? How about this, he's a fellow Canadian first and last.

He served for whatever Prime Minister happened to be in power at the time. Chretian, Harper, Trudeau.

He served in our military, put his life on the line and you can't take him seriously!
What a sad excuse for a Canadian.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Of course not, because he's calling our our idiot jack-*bleep* of a PM, Justin "Skippy" Trudeau. So therefore, despite fighting for our country, because he's not worshipping the disgusting Liberals and their house-plant IQ of a leader, he "can't be taken seriously". Just so pathetic. This is why the Liberals keep getting their butts kicked in election after election.

He is in Alberta. Alberta talks about separation all the time. THAT is unCanadian. A province that challenges transfer payments and Quebec constantly. Sowing division. This guy had an axe to grind - and he took his shot. At least Trudeau had the balls to face people across Canada. The last guy piddled his pants if he had to answer more than 5 pre-chosen questions.

Just because this veteran is in Alberta doesn't make Justin Trudeau suck any less.

While desperate Trudeau bashers will jump up and down because they found *one* veteran who doesn't like Veterans Affairs offices being re-opened by Trudeau after being shuttered by the CPC, the vast majority of veterans recognize all the great things that Trudeau's Liberals have done for them.

Thank you Justin Trudeau for working so hard for Canadian veterans!
The Royal Canadian Legion responds to federal budget 2021

The Royal Canadian Legion is pleased to see this year’s budget not only contains a critical focus on pandemic support and recovery, but also outlines a range of investments that will prove beneficial to Veterans and their families.

“Given the needs arising due to the pandemic, we were not expecting this much welcome investment in our Veteran community and we are very happy to see our Veterans have not been forgotten,” says Dominion President, Thomas D. Irvine, CD. “We look forward to working collaboratively with the federal government and all partners to provide support wherever we can.”

Nope, as usual the Trudeau bashers use hyperbolic opinions rather than facts. You can not deny that the Trudeau Liberals have upped Veterans Affairs spending by 67%, nor can you deny that they re-opened dozens of offices, like the one in Kelowna, across the country.

Yup, whenever governments shift gears there are fluff ups, and that has been exacerbated by having a whole mess new and inexperienced staff (the CPC clowns fired the experienced staff!). And yup, there are issues that have yet to be addressed and/or not fully addressed. Yup, I would have liked to see the Veteran's Affairs minister be higher caliber folks - but after the debacle of Fantino and O'Toole - bozo the clown would be an improvement.

So while I agree that the government programs for veterans are imperfect, they are much improved. There's many a senior that would love to have a program like the V.I.P. program for veterans. That program isn't perfect, but is so far superior to what everyday seniors have access to it is like night and day.

There is good work being done by Veterans Affairs - but it appears that it remains a far less than efficient department. As I said before, MacCauley isn't likely to be the guy to fix that - but maybe he will surprise - certainly can't possibly be worse than Fantino or O'Toole who totally messed it up.

But I get it, the Trudeau bashers will whine away as is their wont, and as is also their wont they will make mountains out of molehills without ever proposing concrete alternatives.

And yet all we see re CPC bashing Trudeau lovers using hyperbolic opinions rather than facts. That veteran was steaming mad at Justin. And I'm sure all veterans were disgusted by the lame cowardly way that Canada pulled out of Afghanistan. The last thing as PMO-fed Liberal fool should be doing is pumping the Liberals on their record with the Canadian military. It's been a total disgrace since day one. And then the gall to point fingers at other non-Liberal governments. Just sickening.

The Liberals, and their cranially-challenged leader, are a disgrace. A complete and utter disgrace to our men and women in uniform. And we all know nothing is going change in that regard.
