What do you think? What is going to happen for 2202?

What has 2021 left for next year?

ETA: I included Memes for 2022, so post them away! Here. :130:

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

We will lose another of the Rolling Stones.

I hope not though. Still want to see them live.
I'm posting this from Traditional lands of the British Empire & the current Lands of The Dominion of Canada.
I also give thanks for this ethos richness bestowed on us via British Colonialism.

I think real estate will increase by at least 15% across Canada....My 'buy 10 houses, you can't lose' theory was correct for 2021.
I think the gap between the rich and poor will grow much , much larger. And because of that ,I think the overdose and suicide rate will be at least double what it was in 2021.
You will see gov't, both federal and provincial will begin picking 'the lowest hanging fruit' to save money.-It will be the poorest-the people that can't afford to defend themselves.
We will see the CPC implode or at least break up.
Geez .. how much fun are you to live with? [icon_lol2.gif]
Seriously though, lets look at the bright side.
I predict we will have great weather.
From spring to next winter.
No extreme heat, no forest fires (except for the yearly usual stuff) and no floods.
Everything will return to normal pre-pandemic by next fall.
Rock band "Extreme" to reunite for awesome concert.
I know nothing about sports so no predictions there.
Politics, same old, same old.

Have you been living under a rock?

We have climate change now, these fires and floods are just the beginning. Next year they will be worse. Haven't you seen the climate predictions? Each year more CO2 = higher temperatures and this means crazy weather.

Each year will be worse until we are all driving Teslas.

Everything else will be the same. We will be wearing masks and social distancing and fighting over boosters next December.

It will be just another year of dumpster fires. Not much will change.

Something outrageous will happen around racism. Some movie stars will hang themselves. Somebody will come out as gay and nobody will give a rat's butt. Joe Biden will do something to *bleep* off conservatives. Some corporations will do something terrible and apologize. There will be another shooting by police and another wave of protest. Another school shooting. Another kind of virus. We'll be told coffee is once again is good or bad for you. Another church pedophile scandal. Some movies will make billions. All of us will be a bit more miserable but there are cat videos on Youtube, so there's that.

Another Covid variant, more restrictions and demonization of the unvaxxed. I'm not sure if they'll be rounded up in camps 2022 or 2023, but I'm fairly sure it's on the agenda.

Prices will go up, incomes will not match it. Rich will get richer, everyone else will get poorer.

There will be more climate change stuff pushed that will cost us more ("us" being the peons).

Crime will increase and nothing practical/useful will be done about it. Politicians will continue to abuse their power.

I don't see actual wars increasing, though. I believe those will hold steady or decrease.

Another forest fire, though I don't see much flooding for next year.

I honestly don't see anything good coming out of next year. :/ Okay, now I'm depressed.

Too many pessimists here, so I will go positive.

Prediction #1: the omicron variant will turn out to be more mild than the vaccine (ie. Fewer side-effects) and more effective at stopping the pandemic.

Governments and Pfizer will be pushing the need for a new omicron vaccine, but halfway through the year countries with the most boosters, probably starting with Israel, will wise up, and realize that we need to open up borders fully to allow everyone to get the omicron because it will act as the real vaccine to end the pandemic.

Leftists everywhere will be scream bloody murder.

Prediction#2: interest rates will rise much quicker in Canada and the US than in Europe because the North American governments put a lot more stimulus money out there.

Prediction#3: no matter what the weather does, it will be blamed on climate change. I will go out on an unsubstantiated hunch and say it will be a low fire season, but somehow they will still blame this on climate change.

Prediction#4: at the end of the year Trump will announce his intent to run in 2024.

Prediction#5: Trump will buy a social media company to get his message out.

Prediction#6: No Rolling Stones will die in 2022.

Prediction#7: No Castanet posters who comment in this thread will die in 2022.

Prediction#8: We will have a severe cold snap in January, not seen in 30 years. This will, of course, be blamed on climate change.

Prediction#9: The powers that be will be complaining about drought in the spring, then floods.

Prediction#10: Your mom will come out as trans.

I feel like we said things would get better from 2020 but I feel like 2021 was an ugly monster. And 2022 is expected to be the same if not worse.

2021 was a crap year for the most part but had a great time with my dad on his boat for two weeks and a couple of camping trips in the truck and camper.
Few in the family passed, mum included.
Brother separated from his wife of 20+ years. We are closer now though.
Left knee pretty well packed it in. Sorting an out of province replacement now.
Income investments stayed strong

2022: Brothers situation is resolved
ordered a new car and it may be here by June
More camping and boating trips, both in lakes and the ocean.
Knee gets replaced, no more pain and hobbling about.
This Covid gets put on the back burner as some other worldly catastrophe occurs ( Ukraine, Taiwan, China sea) :-X
Spend more time in the shop.
Spend more time at a shooting range
Read more books and complete more Economist magazines
Gold stocks skyrocket to pay for everything.

Anyway, still have our health and should continue to do so. Best thing really.
All the best and truly hope 2022 progresses without drama.
I am not wealthy but I am rich
