Was wondering about why folks in the gyms get to take off their masks when on cardio. I remember folks spitting up a storm on the treadmills. Instructors are immune from vaccine requirements? Henry is a little 2 faced. The big gym on Westside had an outbreak and no one said anything. 5 folks I know got covid at same time. My decision to not go was definately justified. Now I see Goodlife fitness also not mandating vaccination for instructors. Henry, you're... not very astute! I don't believe you. Lol.

No reason to wear a mask at all in a gym. Gyms are not, and never have been primary places of spread. We have many studies that proved that. People who go to gyms tend to be healthy, they don't experience symptoms even when they do get sick.

Yeah, it's not about science, they love controlling people and don't want people happy and healthy. Omicron is the cold. What a joke. Punish healthy people for the weakness obese people have. No expert who wants to protect society would not make monoclonal antibodies widely available. They have no negative side effects and they WORK. Unlike the vaccine, they are effective and safe. What happens when fear cannot be used as a weapon? Well their control system is destroyed. If only the masses had spent their lives better their minds and their ability to THINK, we wouldn't have to repeat tyranny. Can anyone tell me why a safe and effective medicine which was specifically created for covid is not being used? What is cheaper? 4 vaccines that damage and kill many, shut down economies, do not stop anything or monoclonal antibodies? Which is more profitable and retains extreme powers for the nutjobs?

If they used a hepa filtre to clean the air , it would be a thousand times safer than the measures i read online they say they use now.

It seems to me that gyms should be a candidate for closing. It's probably a case where some operations are designed such, and if used properly with the proper supervision would be OK, but we have to go with the lowest common denominator.

I heard that public swimming pools are still open ? Seems inconsistent to me.

Good on Them.
Citing short notice of the closures and most importantly, Interior Health cannot provide any information suggesting that Covid is originating in Gyms.
The owners have contacted I.H. for clarification.As usual...No reply.
Oh, does anyone recall nurses and health workers being suspended for not being vaxed?

Alberta is now requesting UNVACCINATED nurses return to work as long as they are tested. Hahahaha that's funny. The vaccinated are getting sick all around the world and the areas where they are highly vaccinated are having big outbreaks and unvaccinated are doing well. Hmmmmmm almost like vaccines are the virus. TIck tock...very soon everything will be undeniable even to the most asleep. Truth always wins, the cycle of tyranny always comes back around to sanity. The problem is that good, smart people will tolerate dumb people destroying the world because WE ARE BUSY BUILDING society and the products the sheep use. It seems that many can't seem to consider two facts at the same time...

Fact 1 -
• Currently we are in a position where vaccines slow the contraction of COVID. One can still catch COVID, having been fully vaccinated. That's why proper wearing of quality masks and physical distancing, including refraining from congregating with groups of people.

Fact 2 -
• Those who are vaccinated have a much much less chance of being seriously ill and conversely a much less chance of needing hospitalization.

There are ramifications that anti vaxers and anti maskers seem to ignore (at worst) or forget (at best). Some contracting COVID come down with "Long Covid" or the medical term "Post-acute sequelae SARS-CoV-2 infection" (PASC)

COVID isn't your grandmothers flu, where you get it, mope around for a few days use up a half box of tissue and back to regular life.

The other FACT that is ignored by those "who have the right to not wear a mask, right to congregate in numbers, the right not to get vaccinated,,, etc is that when they do inevitably come down with COVID and need hospitalization they are taking up spots that are needed for other medical conditions.

But hey, they have the "right". I guess the question is, the right to ...... what ? Right to be ignorant ?

Oh but don't you know it's all about the science. That's why we have so many identical rules around the world because science is fact. Oh wait we don't, ok maybe science is different in England than Germany or Canada that's why one country is locking down people and another country is leaving things to see how it goes. Science tells us it spreads from person to person so UK says work from home if you can, Wales even made it mandatory to work from home unless impossible. No point going into the office with other people and spreading your germs. Better to meet them in the pub instead because that's not off limits as science obviously states COVID doesn't circulate in pubs or restaurants but when it does it only circulates to tables of more than 6 and of course never circulates whilst seated only when heading to the washroom or the door. Science also says masks are good and they work and they should be worn inside and then we can keep this new variant at bay except it hasn't and now regardless of where you are Omicron is considered to be rapidly spreading but wait a minute in BC we haven't removed our damn masks since summer yet now we are back into panic mode because its spreading.
Now in the news a local store has decided to close all branches to online orders only (they only have one in Kelowna) to "protect their staff" from Omicron! So why the panic? What about staff safety when we had the more aggressive Delta variant? What about staff safety in grocery stores that stayed open throughout last 2 years? What about science? Are they not sure that masks, plexiglass, double vaccines social distancing and store capacity limits are in any way useful?

Ok all you opinionated wonderful people out there- has anyone even thought about this one?
If right from the beginning of this whole Covid mess we are all in, that would be back to the start of it all… what kind of a scenario would we hypothetically be in if there were absolutely no lockdowns, no mandatory masks, no social distancing, no restrictions whatsoever put in place. And no vaccines? Let’s hear from both sides here and please really think about this.
How would things be today, how would business be? What about the world economy and our governments? Would there be anarchy? Would we all have gotten through this together? Would you have taken the chance to venture outside? Would you have believed we were safe and that it was “just a flu?” Looking forward to the input on this one.
