If everyone had easy access to monoclonal antibodies from day 1, things would have been back to normal a long time ago without overrun hospitals. Yes, hospitals would likely have had a larger peak, but the long term pain of drawing it out over 2+ years is worse in my opinion.
The amount of medical staff diverted to giving injections is astounding when you think about it. Vernon is a small city and it has a facility that runs 7 days a week for months and months now. At any given time there's probably at least 10 staff running it, so they are being diverted from other parts of the healthcare system. Now think about how much all the other cities in BC have. Then add in the staff fired for not getting the shot. It's almost like they want an ongoing crisis.

So you don’t actually have a clue, okay. Good to know.nucksRnum1 wrote: ↑Dec 26th, 2021, 7:49 pmLike the x-files used to say - the truth is out there. Play with google. You will find out how. I am not a DJ who does information requests. I need to be paid for that.

Re: If There Were Zero Lockdowns
Yeah, Sweden tried that, ignoring the fact that people were dropping like flies, with few restrictions, and changed course toward vaccinating more people. Sure they have some people now with "natural immunity" but the price paid was a relatively high death rate, which has come down considerably since.
We can also watch now the Sidney area of Australia, they had 400 tests yesterday, and nearly 1000 today, mistakenly declared negative when they weren't, and those people went home to hug their friends and family for christmas. So that's not going to go well, hopefully some/most had vaccines.
In the u.s. there are states that can be compared, those who had few restrictions, those who went for more restrictions, and the result is some have over 3000 per million DEAD, and others have 2000 or less. We can compare provinces, like B.c. who had at least some effort at restrictions (not a full lockdown by any means), and other provinces which basically said on TV (early on) that they were allowing many people to just die from Covid if that's what they were going to do. Almost everywhere that started out with a laxer approach to restrictions, soon found out how badly that went, and if they possibly could, went with more restrictions.
Over and over it has been shown that countries which maintained some kind of restrictions, even if not a full lockdown, got the vaccines rolled out earlier, and in greater numbers, overall had a better outcome than those who made less effort to contain the virus till they got the vaccines. Perhaps they did that with the thought that the vaccines wouldn't be available for a long time, never guessing that they would be there within a year of the discovery of the virus.

Re: If There Were Zero Lockdowns
Nowadays, people have practically an infinite ability to select, or deselect media if they wish to. How can anyone be "inundated" unless they are tuning into some media source continually? Turn it off, switch activities, watch a good movie, listen to some good music, go for a walk, whatever, if someone doesn't like the message they are hearing, it's not that hard to spend time listening to a different message, or no message.Bigbacardi wrote: ↑Dec 26th, 2021, 4:56 pm Imagine a world where we the people were not inundated by media 24/7

Re: If There Were Zero Lockdowns
The medical system was overwhelmed and the ICU’s were OVER CAPCITY - ……BEFORE!!!!!!…….. the pandemic
Remember the beginning of the pandemic, lines of ambulances, stories of overwhelmed funeral parlours, bodies being piled up…..
Someone want to let us know how Italy, Spain and New York got things back “under control??? Everywhere else infections, hospitalizations, and deaths continue to increase and “overwhelm” - shouldn’t Texas and Florida be steaming piles of death by now - a clear example of “what not to do”……
The whole pandemic is littered with so much bull crap - anyone know which curve we are supposed to be flattening?
If there were zero lock downs and zero media reporting it would be like 2019 and none would be any the wiser. How you can tout all this crap yet disregard the favelos of Brazil or the slums of India - there is no mass vaccine clinics or invermectin, or vitamin D supplements. There should be mountains of bodies ( or do they have a surplus of sanitizer and stay 6 feet apart masterfully in wall to wall overpopulated slums. This seems to be reeking much more havoc in the 1st world countries.
Humans trying to control nature….how stupid can we collectively get?
