Religious sub-forums

Post by CoffeeCanuck »

Ok, so because I threw it out there a while back and again today, I would like to know if anyone else would be interested in dividing this forum up into sub-forums. I visited other discussion forums to see what they offer and here are some examples.

General Religious Discussions

Christianity

Judaism

Modern & Ancient Paths
- New Age, goddesses, Mysticism, Wicca & others

Eastern Religions
- Sikhism, Shinto, Buddhism, Taoism, Kabbalah & others

Islam

Prophecies & Prophets

Science / Philosophy

Any other suggestions?

Science / Philosophy. Hey, if some would rather it be called something else, I'm all ears.

I realize there will always he heated discussions, however I really like the idea of offering different sub-forums. I got most of them from Forum Garden.

Gull darn it! That'll really hinder my progress.
How will I ever learn if I'm athiest or not? Censored from 7 of 8 topics.

Naw, you and others are not being censored. You do however need some help in using the quote and preview feature.

I think it's a great idea. It might help to keep things more on topic.

What exactly is 'more on topic'? Is no disagreement allowed? Do you all want to sit around a stoke each other up, with no counterpoint? That would make it easy, wouldn't it?
Nothing on the Internet is so serious it can't be laughed at, and nothing is as laughable as people who think otherwise.

If you dont know how to stay on topic, I'm afraid I cant help you out. This has nothing to do with a counter point.

The idea behind the idea is good, but in a way it seems to be like owning a bar and there's always one troublemaker who comes in and wrecks the evening for everyone, so the solution is to build another bar beside it where everyone can go to relax... is that far off the mark?

Thanx for the constructive critisizm! I'm going to take a beginers computer course soon as I'm able.

Which "others" catagory will I be in? I sure hope I can get into a group that can ask more questions about Buddism. The little research I've done thus far really intriges me.

Actually it looks like you are doing the quote thingy right, so I'm not sure why it's not working for you. :smt102

I think Boda can fix his/her quote & smilies options in their 'Profile'; scroll to the bottom of the page when you're in Profile, then click 'Y' under the three different fields called 'Enable BBCode, HTML and Smilies'! :smt023
