LOL of course, once the government opens up the vault, now everything should be "free".
Bunch more wanted oil subsidies to end( they don't have direct production subsidies) and give that money to people to use for electric heat.
Yes, always babbling about "oil subsidies" - without knowing what subsidies even are. It's like saying "we want to the rich to pay their fair share" - what does that even mean?
Just glad the majority voters recognize the NDP as a tax and spend party.
And recognize that it's just a party chocker-block full of really really bad ideas.
This election, vote ABLNDP - anyone but those scumbag NDP or scumbag Liberals. "Justinda Trudeau" must go. No more global elitist scum in charge of our resources and our democracy.

Imagine, a Conservative leader surprising the party by announcing he'd give us a carbon tax, just like the Liberals or NDP. And he did this without a policy convention, where a brawl would have broken out over a carbon tax.
Imagine, if you will, party conventions where policy is decided by brawl...

:topic: I'll be interested to see what deals Singh cuts with Trudeau over the next little while.
Me too. Considering that Singh is actually governing in good faith with the Liberals and implementing good social policies. Whereas the conservatives are fixated and distracted by Trudeau. And that is perfect for the Liberals. They can continue their mandate while the official opposition chases a laser (Trudeau) all over the place like a cat.

LOL - that one made me laugh, pretty hard. There is no "good faith" when dealing with the Liberals, and neither party is capable of generating even mediocre social policies. They're just both far far too dense.

Great post nucksRnum1, and so true! Sadly many - mostly those on the right - are far too dense to figure it out.
The best part about the 'twitter files' is where Tucker Carlson asks Hunter Biden to help his kid get into college.

Some right wingers definitely have a secret folder full of naked Hunter Biden photos.

Looks like Justin's corruption is rubbing off on old Jagmeet, taking expensive chairs in exchange for promises to promote said chairs on Instagram. This is so lame and stupid you would usually only expect something like this from a Liberal. Jagmeet, you greedy *bleep*!

Jagmeet is the guy whispering sweet nothings in Justin's ear, so yes, he is a Liberal.

Next thing you know, Jagmeet will be flying around for free in a helicopter to a billionaire lobbyist's private island. And his wife and brother and mother will be getting paid hundreds of thousands to speak at a charity that Jagmeet convinces the government to give a billion dollars to.

Oh, wait, maybe not - who would be THAT stupid?

Jack Layton was another guy who liked getting the free junkets paid for by his union pals, maybe this isn't just Liberal influence but the old NDP mentality of taking payoffs from unions creeping back in?

NDP must decide if it wants to be Parliament's conscience or win: polling analyst

OTTAWA — A polling and political analyst says the New Democrats need to decide whether they want to be the "conscience of Parliament" or win an election.

Philippe Fournier of 338Canada.com says polls consistently show that NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is more popular than either Prime Minister Justin Trudeau or Conservative Leader Erin O'Toole.

But he says the party must win over suburban voters and attract Liberals tired of the ruling party to stand a chance of forming government.

The NDP elected just one more MP in last year's election, despite spending $25 million on the campaign, and did not gain enough support in the suburbs to come within reach of power.

The NDP caucus is wrapping up a three-day virtual retreat to talk about priorities, policies and strategy for when the House of Commons resumes sitting at the end of the month.

The NDP needs to move to the center and stop with trying to push failed regressive far Left garbage. I have no idea why Jagmeet is popular with voters, nothing he says would appeal to anyone other than gullible mush-heads.

Last election the CPC I thought had more votes, but the 905 region put the libs in the drivers seat.

For some time to come, I really don't believe Canada will ever have a majority government.

The NDP, unless they completely implode, will always hover around that 15- 20% mark. (Mulcaire not withstanding). For some strange reason. [icon_lol2.gif]

Jagmeet steps into questionable territory.
https://nationalpost.com/opinion/kelly- ... ent-a-clue

New Democratic Party Leader Jagmeet Singh made the answer to that pretty clear when he announced his willingness to grant the government the extraordinary powers it sought to clear the laneways around Wellington Street, but stipulated

they must never be used against “Indigenous land defenders, climate change activists, workers fighting for fairness.

Insisting that the rights of some Canadians deserve greater protection than others isn’t normally a position you associate with Singh’s party.

Who's side is he on?
If you're not included in his quote, then he's not on your side.

And that sure leaves all those working on pipelines up-the-creek.

He's been in questionable territory for quite some time, and is now very obviously backing the political elite at the expense of ordinary Canadians.
