Well Lordco's location is worse, so it may work for them.
The only thing bad about lordco current location is the welfare office next to it.

CrystalCity wrote: Jan 27th, 2022, 1:14 pm Thanks for starting this thread! There's no store listed on the App either. So relocating to the Old Steve Nash Gym if not the Old Winners in the Capri Mall? Their current location is a bit frustrating, especially when leaving, and I'm sure they don't want to be only a block away from the old Costco location if the rumours are true about its blue and yellow Swedish home store transition.
The rumours are definitely NOT true about Ikea moving to the old Costco. That will be a great retail area in a couple of years.

That's been kind of a joke on the forums for over 10 years - Ikea is ALWAYS coming....

I'm glad they're moving and not permanently closing. I drove past it last night and saw through the glass and noticed it was empty. I worried it might be another casualty to Amazon.

The rumours of Rona leaving its current location have been squashed. The new BB&B store does carry a few more items than before, at least in the kitchen wares. Mainly more things made by oxo. I find the overall merchandise more reliable than HomeSense though the prices tend to varied.

Far better location - where they were was a ways to go
Not if coming from Rutland/lake country

Smaller space so they save rent money I imagine
More foot traffic as well according to some of the staff. People can get groceries, hit there, go have Thai food

We were in the store for the first time yesterday. I could be wrong but it looks bigger. Larger aisles etc.

If location means anything I would think their rent would be higher but with the economy and the amount of empty retail space who knows, they could have got a deal.

No, it is smaller. Laid out better IMO. I usually just order on line then if I have to return to the store. NOTE - use a CC not Paypal.

I found the size to be about the same but definitely better laid out. The location also has better bus access being across Cooper from the transit exchange at the mall. That will be good for both UBCO and OC students come August.

I agree Crystal, besides the old location was like a drive to place - this one they get the foot traffic, win /win for them
I do wonder how places in the Mall are doing. The " coming soon" has come and gone
